I've been wanting to go here for quite some time so I'm glad I went. However, it was probably a one time thing for me. The lines were long, especially for the flight simulator. We waited for one hour because there were only two of the four machines staffed by employees. It was neat but not worth waiting an hour... More

It is a air museum, but so much more, the paintings on the walls as well as the floor are some of the most beautiful scenes ever created. The art and design of the building offers you more than just viewing old planes. The added amusement rides are fun for most everyone.

Although I visited the Air Zoo with my family in August 2014, reminiscing about our visit prompted my review. With reasonable entry rates, this is a very budget and family-friendly attraction located near Kalamazoo. The Air Zoo has everything, from rides and simulators to (of course) historic planes and museum pieces, all indoors. The main building houses the rides, simulators,... More

There are planes for the kids to see. There are also rides for kids to enjoy. I take my 2 year old there and there is a small hidden room that is great for the small kids. The rides are great for younger and older kids as they have smaller slow rides as well as big kid faster rides.

I love living so close to the sir zoo! I've lived in Kalamazoo since 2006 and get annual passes every year. It is a great value! There are two reasons to love this place. First- it is really educational, it brings parts of history to life! My favorite is the back area of the main campus with the space age... More

We came here with family in March 2015. There was a $10 admission fee, which I guess wasn't bad. The admission fee paid for a few rides which we did not use because we had an infant with us. There were lots of cool exhibits to look at. Basically we just walked around, looked at stuff, & took pictures. The... More

Rides were included in the price of admission, which was great! We spent two hours with another family. Felt comfortable letting our older kids walk around together and ride rides, while we rode with the younger ones. Disappointing on such a high traffic week there were only two flight simulator rides working, but the kids were happy to wait. Ride... More

My daughter and I went here when Portage tried to have a balloon festival (ended up being too windy that day). The rides inside are pretty fun for kids, and there's also a lot of history. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to take the kids any time of year.

The ole paterfamilias has been wanting to come here since we saw it on Under the Radar Michigan. The kindergartener and I were resolved to be good sports, but we ended up having a great time, too! The museum is smallish, but densely packed with interesting examples of commercial, military, and space aviation. The whole history of flight is represented,... More

This was our first visit and we will be back. We were all entertained for a few hours. They have a great display of restored airplanes as well as some motorcycles. I feel that it was a good value for the money.
