This place is awesome! I have a 13, 11, and a 3 year old and they were all entertained for a solid 4 hours. The sr71 is a true master piece of engineering perfection. Had to laugh slightly at the "facts" sheet with the plane because "they" only tell you what they want you to know. Even our 3 year... More

If you are in the Kalamazoo area, the Air Zoo is a MUST VISIT. Amazing planes you can get up-close to. Fun, hands-on exhibits like the fighter jet simulator and 3D movie theater. Carnival rides for the kids. This is one of those museums that you can spend an hour at and have a blast or spend all day at... More

I went in with few expectations. What kind of name is Air Zoo? (I know zoo for Kalamazoo) This was a pleasant surprise. The docents were very helpful and as a docent back home I enjoyed talking with them. The museum is located next to the airport and consists of the main building and the restoration hanger. The main building... More

My grandson and I had to cancel a weekend camping trip and decided to take a day trip to the Air Zoo as a substitute. I had no idea what to expect and all I can say is Wow. The SR71 Blackbird absolutely fascinated my 14 year old grandson as well as grandpa. The other planes represented a great slice... More

We didn't get to see the entire exhibit. Had the opportunity to be escorted by a veteran who knew all about the planes. We arrived around 12:15 and he said the tour of the first area would take around 45 mins. We hit it off and discovered we had other things in common and next thing we knew it was... More

My husband is a Vietnam veteran with helicopter experience to pass on to our 4 yr old grandson. The different size/color airplanes were exciting to see and talk about. The Flight Simulator was a bit to "real" and enclosed for our little one so you might want to hold off buying that special ticket til you see how your child... More

There are a variety of planes to see. There are amusement park type rides, flight simulators, etc. that are included in your ticket price. Other places charge extra for these. The food is a little high but reasonable.

We had a great time. There were so many fun things to look at and learn from. The simulators were fun for everyone-- my kids are 21, 15, and 12-- they all found things they enjoyed. We didn't do the extra packages but still managed to stay busy for hours. I would recommend this as a stop even if you... More

We were very impressed with this museum/entertainment place! Our sons loved it here!!! This place combines education with entertainment in a fun way. We visited while the "Wings of Freedom" were there.... and we toured the B-24 and B-17 several times. Our sons could not get enough of them!!! We ate there at their "KItty Hawk Cafe".... over-looking the main... More

What a great place to learn aviation history, space history and this year they have the traveling DaVinci exhibit which was just amazing. 4D theater, flight simulators and space shuttle simulators along with some amusement type rides for the younger ones. Over 60 different restored planes on display. We spent a good 3-4 hours touring this Museum.
