Rode from Bay View to Charlevoix! You feel safe and the path is smooth and well maintained! They did a great job with this path!

This is a great bike path that I have taken advantage of my last three summers in Petoskey. Every weekend, I try to make it a habit to ride from Petoskey into Harbor Springs and back. Not only does this provide me with a great exercise routine, but the actual path and views of the lake, both in Petoskey and... More

This wheelway connects Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Petoskey, Bay View, Alanson and Harbor Springs. The variety of scenery cannot be beat. Whether you are walking, running or biking, you will want to return to this venue; it connects all the major attractions of these beautiful Northern Lower Michigan towns (downtown Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, downtown Petoskey, Petoskey waterfront, Bay View association, Petoskey... This path is so awesome! If you are anywhere near Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, or Alanson in the Spring to Fall times, make sure to get on your bike or feet and check out this trail. I used it all the time to bike to the Petoskey State Park Beach, run to East Park, check out Bay Harbor, fly a... More

This is easily one of the most scenic bike trails in the USA. Most of this trail is fast and flat, with a few hills between Bay Harbor and Harbor Springs. If you like water views, this is the ride for you! Tip: turn off at Beach Road (between Petoskey and Harbor Springs) and ride along the water. Also...just south... More

I can't say enough about this dedicated bike trail. It's wide, well kept, and incredibly beautiful. We make the 4 hour drive at least twice a year just to ride this trail. The views of the bay and Lake Michigan are exceptional, as well as the towns of Petoskey and Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. It's a gem, and very special... More

I read about the Little Traverse Wheelway in a bike magazine a couple of years ago and was enamored by the description. This past year, we planned a bike trip in northern Michigan that included this bike path and found it to be all that we hoped. The scenery along Lake Michigan is spectacular. Most rail-trails are pretty flat but... More

We loved this trail. We were staying in Petoskey, Michigan for a long weekend and had a great time. The trail runs from Charlevoix, MI to Harbor Springs. Petoskey is the mid point. We biked to Charlevoix one day (about 17 miles one way) and to Harbor Springs the next (about 9 miles one way). The path is well maintained... More

This is an excellent paved trail running all the way from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. It is crowded in the summer. It runs by the water and through domestic areas. We accompanied a person using a wheelchair and the paths accomodated him well. It is a beautiful area and beautiful trail.
