Snowmobile destination point

It is excellent scenery. It's worth the trip off the main trail. It's a point we make sure to get to everytime we snowmobile in the Paradise area.

Long ways back in the woods, but worth the drive. We have watched the Crisp Point Lighthouse Society restore this beauty for the last 10 years. Amazing job!! The volunteer was very kind and helpful. Answered all our questions and was very kid friendly. This is always a must visit for us. However, we have been advised if visiting in... More

Being on the shore of Lake Superior at the end of a several mile long sand track through the woods, this place is not very easy to access. But the drive is well worth it, and you do NOT need a four wheel drive. People make the journey in sports cars, luxury vehicles and even an occasional motor home. The... More

Unless you are really into lighthouses, this is a long drive and not a lot to see. We were on a bird watching trip and did see a few birds and had a nice lunch in the woods.

Great light. Wonderful restoration. Newly relit and now registered navigation light again. 17 miles of marginal to bad road to get there, but well worth it.

I had read previously that the trek to this lighthouse was an adventure. Adventure is an understatement! Drive involves 30ish miles on dirt/mud/rutted roads. I felt like I was in an episode of Jungle Gold or some show on the Travel channel! I printed off the directions from the Crisp Point Lighthouse Historical Society. Using the GPS will take you... We followed our GPS, during a gale, and now our car has some serious damage. Otherwise, great lighthouse with a wonderful visitors centre.

This lighthouse is absolutely beautiful and worth the drive. The roads are sand and gravel - which can be a little dangerous, and can sometimes be washed out but don't let that deter you. The views of Lake Superior are beautiful and the shoreline is spectacular!

I wish we could have found this lighthouse, we were on the road to it, but the road was so bumpy and rutted we feared travelling on it and it seemed we were driving forever and not finding it.

This wonderful lighthouse is a bit hard to reach, but well worth the drive. Sand and gravel roads through a thick stand of trees that runs by picturesque lakes, will take you to this gorgeous lighthouse situated on Lake Superior. I have seen many lighthouses and this one is absolutely among the top ten. Wood boardwalks lead from the parking... More
