Be sure to visit the Lower Falls!! We almost didn't go, thinking it wouldn't be any big deal. Would have missed one of the best things we've ever done. Rent the flat bottom row boat for $20, row across to the falls and spend the day splashing, walking and having a great time exploring them. Pack a lunch and take... More

Wading in the rapids of the lower falls was a unique and beautiful experience that our family will always remember. We did not encounter any biting flies or mosquitoes at all, and the weather was perfect on the day we toured this park. Way better than we expected! If you are going with kids, the lower falls are not to... More

Beautiful state park with lots of trails and the ability to walk in part of the falls. There are a lot of access points and the car line to get in was pretty long, but once I was in there was more than enough parking.

This campground is amazing!!! Anywhere you are put, is honestly a good spot. The spots are really good sizes, the bathrooms were always clean (even if people are pretty disgusting), the park staff were always in great spirits, and the location to everything was pretty great! Overall, we will definitely camp & visit here again!

I know this is the second highest falls in Michigan and it was recommended I visit. I guess I'm a jaded traveler as I've see falls all over the world and these were just meh. Lower falls I liked the cascading look while the uppers looked like what you expect. Upper has two separate areas that require steps to get... More

OK, this place is not exactly on the beaten path, but they are the nicest falls in the Midwest. The place is clean and well kept up, there are multiple falls for viewing, the viewing platforms are first class, and there is an OK restaurant in the park with a very good gift store. It is cheap and near Oswald... More

Visited both the lower and upper falls. It's well worth your time to see these beautiful falls. You need to visit both upper and lower to make it worth your time. Be prepared though, it's quite the workout to hike to the falls. The lower falls aren't bad, but the upper falls have quite a few steps to get to.... More

The beautiful sunny day we were there the place was packed. But once you got back on the trails the crowds thinned out. It was a pleasant walk to the Upper Falls. The falls themselves are pretty but I wouldn't characterize it as spectacular. There are steps at the falls if you want to get up close. Maybe not a... More

We spent a day at the Falls. They were beautiful. The entire park is well taken care of. There is plenty of signage too that helps you navigate through the park. Restrooms, restaurants, places to sit and relax. These are not Niagra. They are not as big or loud as Niagra. The other significant difference between these Falls and Niagra... More
