Nice beach, clean. Lots of wildlife to see and beautiful views. You've got to see those sunsets for yourself.

New Buffalo is a great little time with a wonderful beach and great marina. The beach is very clean and very family oriented. There is no alcohol allowed on the beach and the police routinely patrol the beach looking for anything out of order. We will be back.

My wife and I spent a couple hours on the New Buffalo public beach on a recent warm July afternoon. Although crowded, we were able to find a decent spot 30 yards from the water. The sand appears to be trucked in - - fairly course and not the cleanest. The first 5 yards or so of the water has... More

Lots of nice sand. Parking was expensive to me as I didn't see anything there but the beach - unless you can leave your car there while you wander up the street into town (few minutes walk). Great for sunset watching.

It's funny because although my family and I have been to New Buffalo Public Beach a few times, it's only been at sunset. :) We normally stay in New Buffalo and make that our hub while we explore the southwestern shoreline of Michigan, so by the time we arrive back at the hotel in the evening and have dinner in... Nice public beach with easy access and clean facilities. $10 daily parking fee should allow you in and out access.

A friend took me and my wife here while giving us the grand tour of the area. I think this is a city owned beach and parking area. They charge $10 for Parking which I though was way to much but governments are not know for giving things away are they. We only stayed for maybe 30 min to an... More

Like with any public beach there are both positives and some negatives. I think over all this is an excellent and fun beach experience. Here are my top positives and the negatives that I have found. POSITIVES: - Large public Lake Michigan beach - Fun walking paths up mid-sized dunes (kids and adults love them) - staircase up the dunes... More

I loved how clean this beach was...considering that it is a public beach. It was relatively uncrowded and the people were well mannered and polite. We had a great time...Only complaint was the lifeguards and the need for them to be a bit more attentive.

Although I had to pay $10 for parking, it was a nice clean beach. You cannot bring alchol or glass on the beach otherwise beach patrol takes it away. You can rent wave boards at the beach for $20/hour.
