Day use park with excellent beach access, picnic areas, and dune stairs. No fees. Main beach area is off limits to dogs. However, the dog beach starts here and runs about 3/4 mile to Pere Marquette Park. This off leash dog area is wonderful with towering sand dunes and crystal clean water. On hot days your dog can jump in... More

When I go to heaven, I want it to be just like Kruse Park. There are all kinds of dogs playing in harmony in the beautiful fresh lake and a soft breeze keeps dogs and people alike cool. I love to go here without my dog (she doesn't like other dogs) and just watch all of the different breeds arrive.... More

This used to be my favorite beach but is now over-ridden with dogs (dog beach at northern end.). Also, the dune walk is broken on several places and was just boarded up instead of repaired. Disappointing.

Just a few blocks away from the urbanality of Muskegon there is this wonderful, beautiful, secluded beach...lots of parking, a bit of a hike down to the beach but it actually is hadicapped accessible, dogs allowe on part of the beach. Great spot on the little ocean of Michigan.

We live a few miles from this park and is the one that many of the locals use as it is a hidden gem. The best part is that despite being above the water there is a w/c ramp that will take you down to the beach. The sand is very white and beach is kept clean by the City... More

The Doggie Beach is fairly close to the parking lot. There is a nice boardwalk with ramps & stairs leading to the beach area. Plenty of beach area for the dogs to enjoy the sand & surf! It would be nice if there was a restroom close by. Our dog had a good time digging in the sand & running... More

Nice view if you climb up the wooden stairs. Beach was same as all in the area, just not as wide. It was fun to watch all the dogs enjoying the water at the top end of the beach.

I hadn't visited this park in about 10 years and boy have they let it go down hill, Most of the wooden walkways you use to explore the dunes have fallen into disrepair and are dangerous to say the least. They need major renovations to restore this park to it's once top notch status.

I would say this is an average park. I was looking forward to visiting this park do to all the good reviews it had, but just so you know most of the stairs are blocked off and closed.

We had a great time here! Everyone was friendly & it was great to see all the dogs having fun in the water. If you plan on spending a fair amount of time here just remember to pack the basics for both you & your dog. While MI doesn't typically get very warm (the water in July was definitely chilly)...
