Nice view

Nice view if you climb up the wooden stairs. Beach was same as all in the area, just not as wide. It was fun to watch all the dogs enjoying the water at the top end of the beach.

I hadn't visited this park in about 10 years and boy have they let it go down hill, Most of the wooden walkways you use to explore the dunes have fallen into disrepair and are dangerous to say the least. They need major renovations to restore this park to it's once top notch status.

I would say this is an average park. I was looking forward to visiting this park do to all the good reviews it had, but just so you know most of the stairs are blocked off and closed.

We had a great time here! Everyone was friendly & it was great to see all the dogs having fun in the water. If you plan on spending a fair amount of time here just remember to pack the basics for both you & your dog. While MI doesn't typically get very warm (the water in July was definitely chilly)... This park is so lovely and isolated .....it's lake front living w/o the tax bill. I like to hang a left and walk down to the water plant. Good meditation walk. If you want cardio with a view hang a right up the steep steps and follow the boardwalk. Pavillions are great for parties, bathrooms and playgrounds round out the... More

This gem is tucked at the end of West Sherman Ave and can be easily missed. The park, named after former Muskegon Mayor Norman F Kruse, has pavilions that can be reserved, areas to walk, and a small beach with a fenced off area for a dog area. The boardwalk area was quite disappointing as it in desperate need of... More

I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. I love the dog beach. Watching dogs of all breeds jump through the surf is a great way to spend an hour or two. There are steps you can climb to get a great view of Lake Michigan. There are benches to relax on as you climb the... More

I have two dogs; this park has a dog beach which allows me to walk them off-leash. They are in dog heaven; they both think they are so important--lol. As long as everyone picks up after their dogs (most do), the beach is clean and litter free; there are both steps and ramp from the parking area to the beach.... More

Our cockapoo loved playing with his new doggy friends on the beach. My kids loved climbing the sand dunes. It was a hit with everyone.

Spectacular day on a beautiful beach exclusively for our Chocolate Labrador ! We are very appreciative of the Muskegon County Parks for this beach access!
