We had a good time.....

We were in town for 5 days and the boat didn't sail due to lack of reservations. By late June you would think they'd be busy. After 3 phone calls for reservations not returned, we headed to the dock and there was no one there at the ticket booth. Don't know how they can sell tickets when no one is... More

What can I say? We chose this for a friend's bachelorette party and I wish we hadn't. When I called to make the reservations I was told there was going to be a DJ and dinner would be chicken. There was NO DJ, just CDS to chose from on our own. The dinner was frozen breaded chicken cutlets from meijer,... More

My family takes the Port City Princess cruise every summer that we spend in lower Michigan. It's a gorgeous trip out onto the water and a great way to spend an afternoon or evening, sailing along the Muskegon shoreline and out onto Lake Michigan (conditions allowing). The boat plays music and serves food & drinks (both alcoholic and non-), and... More

Our first booking was cancelled the day of our planned outing - we had almost left the house when we got the call - we had been the only 3 people to book - it seems like we could have gotten a little more forewarning since we were the only 3...Then the following month when we did go, the boat... Had not been on the ship in years but decided to take another trip. The staff is nice, the vessel is clean, sturdy and easy to find and board. The trip went as planned and the water was rather smooth so there was no wave motion to speak of. The food served was OK, plenty of places to sit and... More

my family (with a five and an eight year old) took last years 4th of july cruise and had a blast. I saw the negative review here of this 4th of july cruise and had to respond. we had so much fun that the kids requested to go back this year. the fireworks were terrific and we could see them... I dont consider myself a big fan of boats and being on the water but I had never been in Michigan before and it seemed the thing to do. (I saw the Lonely Planet review listing Michigan's Gold Coast ie: West Michigan/Lake Michigan as a #1 tourist attraction) I went on this boat for the luau cruise. The dancers were... More

We took a ride on this vessel for its evening cruise out into Lake Michigan. The narration of our trip was quite informative. Don't go for the food on the boat, just enjoy the ride and the sights. The vistas from the boat were what you might expect - coastline; but then out on Lake Michigan the waves got fairly... More

We took my Parents 78 and 81 years old on the trip around the lake and out into Lake Michigan while they were visiting from Texas on August 8th 2013. They were concerned about access on the boat but found it very easy to get on and off the boat basically just walked on. They then wanted to go up... More

My wife and I decided to take the 4th of July Fireworks cruise and dinner on the Port City Princess. Unfortunately, the ship is just not designed for sightseeing in mind. For dinner, everyone is seated at tables, some tables on the lower deck with just windows to watch out of, and some table on the upper deck, with a... More

Hello, At the Port City Princess we take your input very seriously, after all, you are the reason we have been in business for 28 years.
