This is a self-guided tour of a World War II landing craft that carried vehicles and supplies to our soldiers in the South Pacific, There are many exhibits - World War II posters, military uniforms and helmets, flags, photos of the sailors that served on this ship, an exhibit dedicated... We were just on a little mid-week trip when we came across the LST on our GPS. It took a little bit of driving to find out how to get into the parking area (the street leading up to it is a divided highway and the Garmin didn't help). The inside was full of displays, and we could go up... More

Its worth going on the tour, its self guided so you can go at your own pace. Enjoyed viewing the living quarters and you get a glimpse at what life would have been like. had knowledgable people on the boat to answer questions.

My kids were surprisingly interested in this. The self guided tour was amazing! We really got a feel for life on this style of ship and I learned a LOT!

It doesn't get more real than this! The history in this ship is breathtaking. Its size is intimidating but its well worth the hour or more to tour. Do note it is not accessible for those with a challenge and very young children. Lots of very step stairs to climb between levels. Don't forget to throw a few bucks in... More

A review could not possibly due the LST justice. If you or some one in your family was in WWII or you are just interested in standing in a part of history, visit the LST. You will never forget your visit.

Watching a movie from the deck after viewing the sunset over Muskegon Harbor is a great way to spend a summer Friday evening.

We took our 8th grade class to visit this WWII Navy ship. We found it very interesting. The people working there were very helpful and shared a lot of information with our students. It was worth the trip.
