Many rivers that empty into Lake Michigan are quite dirty (Grand River, Kalamazoo River) and as a result the associated beaches have high count E-coli and trash. There is relatively little development on the Muskegon River,... More

In the winter the snow fences take a bit away but the lake is always beautiful. The water level is higher which is a welcomed sight.

This is a must visit and stay Park. The expanse and cleanliness of this beach the out of the ordinary sunsets, the winter spring and summer and fall attraction. This park seems unreal! Absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever seen. They have the traditional lake michigan lighthouse. Playground area & restrooms clean. This was a pleasant surprise we stumbled upon!

One of the largest clean sand beachs with good swimming. Also the sun-sets are something to see. Large picnic area with view of channel to one of the biggest fresh water port in the world. Have 1000 ft. ships come in now and again. Have had people from out of state, when they first see Lake Michigan think I took... More

Great place to take pictures of sunsets. Clouds are coming in because the weather is changing and cool air is in sight. Perspective pictures with waves and wind surfers and pier heads. Worth your trip down

I absolutely love Pere Marquette!! The views are awesome and watching the waves is calming. I also love to sit at the channel and watch the boats go through.

We stopped to walk the breakwater, look at the light house/breakwater light take pictures. The lake was pretty wavy which made for some really nice pics and video as the waved crashed against the breakwater .

This incredible beach is just a few miles from downtown, but feel like a vacation destination. The sunsets are humbling and the sand and water are magical. This is yet another Muskegon gem.
