On his suggestion the entrance to the cave has been enlarged, making it this way accessible to the entire world. The cave has two entrances: the smaller one artificially widened and deepened so that the boat could sail through, and the wider one, located at the southern part of the cave – the underwater passage, through which the magical game of the light and water is performed…Depending on the season, the ideal moment to visit the cave is between 9 and 13 o’clock in the morning. « less

I took an all day boat trip (200 kuna) from Vis town and one of the stops was at the Blue Cave (40 kuna). We had to transfer from our boat to a smaller, 12 person, boat to fit into the cave. Even with the smaller boat you had to duck down low in order to fit through the cave... More

We did a fantastic day tour including the beautiful blue cave and porat beach (amazing sandy beach!) with Ames tours. The husband and wife team were lovely, fun and informative about the island of vis and surrounds.

Much smaller than I expected it to be but too beautiful for words too. A tiny but magical cave. Loved it. We enjoyed those ten minutes and got some fabulous photos. The colour of the Sea is amazing in there.

This is trully beautiful place,no question about it,unique experience really. But there are also few things which are not so good. First of all, price for visiting cave for time period of max 3 minutes is unfair, also local people and taxi boats will not advise you that midday is the best place to visit the cave since during that time light... It is quite far from hvar island and you will only actually spend less than 10mins in the cave with the tour company but it is worth it for 50 kuna. You have to all duck down on the boat to fit in. Inside is pitch black and really serene with crystal blue water from where the sun reflects under... More

We did this tour with one of the various tour companies in Hvar. They took you to the green cave, Blue cave and some beaches. The boat trip was fun, however a little scary as waves can be quite big and you go quite fast. The caves are amazing, I was really surprised by how incredible the blue cave is.... More

It is beautiful - however at 50 Kona to visit in high season it is a bit of a rip-off. However, since it costs so much, take your time. Enjoy the amazing colors and yes, do go for a swim. If it is busy, wait for five to ten minutes for a lull and enjoy.

After a few days the entrance to the cave was not possible because of the wind, we were lucky and we managed to visit it. From Komiža to the bay Mezzuporat on Biševo we came with speedboat (ticket price 100kn=15€ ), and there we bought tickets for the cave (ticket price 50kn=7€ ). The entrance to the cave is so... More

You can reach Bisevo Island with your own boat or renting a seat on a boat from Komiza (about 14€ each). From the island itself, you can buy tickets for the cave (7€ each), which is only accessible via the boats of the local tourist company. The entrance of the cave is incredibly small (you will need to bend in... More
