On his suggestion the entrance to the cave has been enlarged, making it this way accessible to the entire world. The cave has two entrances: the smaller one artificially widened and deepened so that the boat could sail through, and the wider one, located at the southern part of the cave – the underwater passage, through which the magical game of the light and water is performed…Depending on the season, the ideal moment to visit the cave is between 9 and 13 o’clock in the morning. « less

We did this tour with one of the various tour companies in Hvar. They took you to the green cave, Blue cave and some beaches. The boat trip was fun, however a little scary as waves can be quite big and you go quite fast. The caves are amazing, I was really surprised by how incredible the blue cave is.... More

It is beautiful - however at 50 Kona to visit in high season it is a bit of a rip-off. However, since it costs so much, take your time. Enjoy the amazing colors and yes, do go for a swim. If it is busy, wait for five to ten minutes for a lull and enjoy.

After a few days the entrance to the cave was not possible because of the wind, we were lucky and we managed to visit it. From Komiža to the bay Mezzuporat on Biševo we came with speedboat (ticket price 100kn=15€ ), and there we bought tickets for the cave (ticket price 50kn=7€ ). The entrance to the cave is so... More

You can reach Bisevo Island with your own boat or renting a seat on a boat from Komiza (about 14€ each). From the island itself, you can buy tickets for the cave (7€ each), which is only accessible via the boats of the local tourist company. The entrance of the cave is incredibly small (you will need to bend in... More

This is truly a waste of time and money. Beautiful cave, good views but super commercial. You go in and have 3 minutes in the cave with 3/4 other boats filling up the cave. No space for photos, no chance to swim or enjoy the view and experience... you feel like a tuna being pushed into a can! You stand... More

My boyfriend and I did a speed boat trip from Split and the Blue Cave was included in this. It has been one of the highlights of our whole holiday. It requires a ticket and you line up for one of the small, official boats. We initially thought this was purely a money making scheme, but as we approached the... More

The five of us went today with Adrian from Atlas tours from Hvar town to see three caves and visit lovely coves and beaches on a speed boat. We had a great guide with good English and the kids really enjoyed cave diving and cliff jumping. The blue cave was ' sharp intake of breath' gorgeous, almost a cerulean blue... More

It is worth visiting, as the site is amazing – the play of colors and lights is just breath-taking. HOWEVER it can be so overcrowded inside the small cave one can hardly see anything from cameras fleshing, and a boat can tip over. This is surely must see attraction that asks for a better organization of both boats and visitors.... More

Most tourists arrive via boat tours, but you can definitley charter your own boat for the day if you have enough interested people. Definitley go for a swim in cave, take in its majestic blue glow, and if you plan ahead, snap some pics with your waterproof camera!
