The Munising Harbor is beautiful, the harbor views are great then the ship heads into Lake Superior among the coast to the Pictured Rocks which are cliffs made of ancient rocks. These were sacred to the Ojibway who summered in this area. Also try the glass bottom shipwreck tour..another Company.

This well run, educational trip is the only way to truly see the Pictured Rocks coastline, aside from private boat. You will not be disappointed. A few suggestions: be in line on the dock 45 min to 1 hour before your cruise time if you want to sit on the top deck, no matter what the weather on shore bring... More

We have seen Pictured Rocks by driving to the sites and by this cruise. The lakeshore is beautiful and this cruise is the best way and by far the quickest way to see the different formations. I have kids ages 12, 10 & 7, they liked the boat ride. It is 2 1/2 hours long, but seemed to go fast.

We loved the boat tour of Pictured Rock. It's a wonderful way to hear more about the history of the great lakes and ask questions. What we didn't like was the huge long line you have to wait in. If you have any interest in sitting on the top of the boat then you absolutely must get to the dock... More

I almost didn't write this because we are big supporters of National Parks and affiliates, but I really felt that this was a boring trip. I had read that the 5:30 tour was the most popular and that seemed a little odd to me but now I get it. In order to see or appreciate the cliffs and their colors... More

Pictured rocks in Munising is stunning, but you need to get there early to get a good seat on the boat, otherwise you sit not close to a window and everybody on the boat leaning over you to take pictures, which can get annoying.

People on the afternoon before were rained out. Watch and plan for the weather .We hit it with sun and many smiles. Get there early to insure the seating you want. We sat on top and in front. Many great views and the price was very reasonable, $36 for a 2 1/2 hour cruise. Captain was informative and kept us... More

We did not take the cruise for which we had bought tickets. It was our fault I suppose but there isn't room inside the boat for everyone and we didn't arrive early enough. We were so far back in the line that we would have had to sit on the roof in the rain. Anyways, it looked pretty cramped down... More

Went on the cruise late september, out on lake superior coming back was a bit cold on the upper deck, but the pictures you can take of the rocks are amazing. It was just under 3 hrs roundtrip. Was worth going to see. To see the waterfalls early spring is the time to go after the snow starts to melt.

There really is no other way to enjoy what the lakeshore has to offer except by going on the boat. It's a little pricey, about $35, but worth it if you want to see what the Pictured Rocks are all about.
