We took our granddaughters (and their parents) on this boat tour. It does take a little while to get to the pictured rocks area, but once there, all of us (including the 8 and 10 year old granddaughters) were wide awake and really enjoying the views of the lakeshore. This is really a "must see" stop if you are in... More

This was my first time on Lake Superior. My brother and I traveled up from Marinette, WI for the day to take this tour. I was so glad we made the trip and I wish we had started earlier in the day. The cruise took about 2.5 hours roundtrip. The leaves have just barely started changing. I can imagine what... More

The National Lakeshore is great for camping and roughing it, but you cannot actually get the great views and an idea of the scope and grandeur of these formations from any other way than from the water. The cruises are very professional run and the narration is informative and entertaining.

The cruises on Lake Superior by Pictured Rocks are unique and spectacular. One feels the enormity and clarity of the Lake and the Pictured Rocks are beautiful and interesting in what they show us of Michigan's natural environment. Definitely worth the stop in Munising UP Michigan. Be prepared with layers of clothing so one can be warm if it is... More

Took the Pictured Rocks sunset boat tour on 24th Aug 2014. The trip is 2.5 hours and takes you out on Lake Superior about 13 miles from Munising harbour. Can't recommend this trip enough, it is so worth the $36 adult fare. The crew were professional, knowledgable and friendly - providing just enough narrative along the way as well as... More

The staff are professional and entertaining. Beautiful tour of the Pictured Rocks on the shore of Lake Superior. Make sure to bring a sweater or blanket, the temp on the Lake is around 20 degrees lower than on land.

Absolutely must see the Pictured Rocks during your trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is breathtaking. Wish I could say the same about the crew of the Miss Superior. It can be cold on board if you sit on top, bring sweatshirts even in the summer.Overall had a great time, hope your crew is better behaved.

It's really a must-do if you find yourself in Munising. It's a little bit expensive, but the ride is fairly long and is very enjoyable. Make sure to dress warmly enough and perhaps even take along a blanket. Sitting on the top deck offers the best views, but is also the coldest area. We did the 6:00 pm cruise and... More

The cruise is certainly worth the money. The boat often gets much closer to the rocks than I expected. Sit on the top deck if possible. We went in August and it was cold. We brought a small backpack on board with extra sweatshirts and beverages so we were ok but many others had to leave and go below. Pros:... More

I want to start off by saying that if you have little children that are not controllable do not take them on this as it is 2 1/2 hours. With that said, I have a 17 year old and 15 year old daughters and a 3 year old son. They all LOVED it!!! My daughters would get up and walk... More
