An attractive waterfall within the confines of Munising

It was quite easy to get to the Munising Falls, a it was located in the woods nearby the city itself. Follow M28 through town until you find the Sand Point Road Junction. Head North. Watch for signs on your right . Once parked, you have to walk a little bit through the woods. The only problem is as it... More

Short slippery walk, well worth it! When we were there you could see through the ice(opaque), and watch the water flowing behind the "wall"! Mother Nature's beauty! Free!

We were in the Munising area to ski at the beautiful Valley Spur trails, and we stopped at Wagner Falls... the couple there asked if we had seen Munising Falls... we had not so we stopped by to see it.

Having visited Munising Falls in October, we decided to peak in the winter. It was a well packed but not shoveled 800' walk up to the base of the falls. The water was still flowing inside of a tannin infused ice column set inside the sandstone circular cliff. It was spectacular. We walked up and behind the ice column (probably... More

We stumbled upon Munising Falls almost by accident - and we were so happy to have found this little pit-stop! It's a beautiful stop, very easily accessible. The interpretive centre staff was very friendly!

A trip to the Munising Falls was our last visit prior to leaving Munising. It was early January 2015 and the falls were frozen - quite beautiful. If you have a trailer, no worries, there is a very large parking area that is kept plowed. Easy to walk to and fun to photograph, worth checking out!

Could not visit all 299 waterfalls in the UP but it was fun to see several and note the differences in the rock structure =, volume etc.

Beautiful waterfall all year round. The path to it is kept open through the winter. A short walk takes you into a small canyon which has a spectacular up close view of the waterfall at the end.

Title says it all - it's a beautiful walk and the reward at the end is well worth it. Breathtaking! We stayed on the main path and didn't go to the upper level, but the view from the lower level is fantastic. The walk is along a paved pathway which follows a rushing stream, and there are a lot of... More
