The falls are easy to get too from the small parking lot. The visitors center has restrooms if you need them. The falls are very close to town.

Nice waterfall. Another one that is easy to miss unless you have directions or are told about it. The pathway still had snow on it and was very slippery from the water and temperatures.

We had read that the Munising Falls hike was barrier-free. Not so in April when they have yet to clear any of the trails. We had to navigate 2 feet of snow on top of everything. There was a narrow path that you had to keep on or you would sink in to hip-deep snow. However, the short hike was... More

I was working in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan for those of you who aren't from here) last week. When I left home in central Michigan, there was no snow. Of course by the time I got to Marquette the snow was plentiful. I had to make the drive from Marquette to Sault Ste. Marie and knew from past... More

We just got back from a winter visit and the falls and approach were AWESOME! The short walk in the snow was so beautiful and the falls themselves are an amazing, frozen site to see. We loved the walk/falls so much that we went back a few days later to check them out again. We wore snowshoes since the snow... More

A gorgeous waterfall, make sure you explore the various paths that take you to either side of the falls

There are many falls in the area and Munising is one of the best! You can actually take a boat to see the falls. Also see Miners Falls while you are in the area.

After a beautiful hike near Miners Castle and down to Miners Beach where we felt like we had the place to ourselves, we stopped by Munising Falls. It was crowded with people and really not impressive at all. You felt like you were at a tourist trap rather than in nature.
