We loved the view from the lookout points but were disappointed that we couldn't take our dog on the trail to the falls. Very limited areas for pets in this park just FYI.

We made it out this way purley on accident when looking for the falls. I am glad we did. There is a great overlook that allows for some nice photo's. You will also find a trail down to the beach if you would like to go for a little stroll. The ranger station features small exhibits that give a little... More

we go to see the castle rock both by walking on the trail and on the pictured rock cruise, the trail is easy to walk, and you can see the castle rock on top, so you can also see the very green and clear water near the shore, it's a good view to take the picture from the viewing point... More

You can't miss Miners Castle Rock - part of the Pictured Rocks coast. The "lore" that is told on the information boards tells the story. Take a moment to read, then explore. You won't be disappointed.

Brought our kids ages 5 and 7 and the whole family enjoyed coming. Walked along the shoreline. Went up a lookout area to see the beautiful colors in the rocks! A must see!

This was our first look at the Pictured Rocks. From the top of the cliff we had a beautiful view on the MIners Castle Rock. It was around 11 a.m. and the sun was shining brightly. Truly amazing! At least we could reach this attraction quite easily by driving on Alger County Road H-58, then five miles North on Miners... More

This is one of the neatest natural wonders in the UP. I've taken the cruise in June and in October and it was beautiful both times. I love being on the water and the view is just gorgeous. We got many great pictures and the artist of our group brought back at least 4 sketches of the fall colors and... More

I first visited Miner's Castle my first time driving through the UP in the summer of 2013. I had seen Pictured Rocks advertised and my google searches showed that Miner's Castle was the only rock formation you can drive to. Well it is DEFINITELY worth the drive. The views of the rock are stunning, and we were there on a... More

The rock cliffs at the lakeshore were beautiful. Had to get used to saying "lakeshore" vs "sea shore' (living in Calif). The UP has so much for outdoor activity, not like the central valley of Calif.
