Amazing rock color only to be seen via water. Well worth the money. One suggestion, color would be better afternoon when the sun shines on it as it is on the eastern side. Very beautiful area, especially in the fall. Color was peak.

We stopped on Halloween Oct 31. It had snowed and the temperatures dropped to around 30 so we decided to do a little sightseeing while driving around the lake on vacation. The view of Lake Superior was excellent. The waves crashing on the rocks and at Miners Beach the view was just as beautiful! There was a viewing platform and... More

Because the boat tours were cancelled for three days because of strong winds, we were pleased that we could get views of Miners Castle from the land. We enjoyed the short walk for a variety of views.

Fall colors all over were fantastic. We also went to lighthouses, museum, antique shop, waterfalls and glass bottom boat tour. Like all of them.

America's park lands are second to none and Miners Castle Rock puts visitors up close to some stunning geological features. Access is very easy, with simple barrier-free access to the upper viewing areas. There are some stairs at the end of a well maintained path to the top of the rock, but it is a fairly easy walk and definitely... More

it was freezing cold when we arrived but the view was worth fighting the elements! each viewing platform had something different to offer so don't skip out on the different spots. Was just passing through the area but could have easily stayed a day or two! Hope to return to area in the future

This is one of many great places to see for free in the Munising area. We got a lot of good information and maps to all of the waterfalls from a visit to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Hiawatha National Forest Interagency Visitor Center 906-387-3700 400 East Munising Avenue, junction of state highway M-28 and county road H-58 in Munising. I liked it better from the cruise than behind from the shore. Nice little information center and gift shop. The day was rainy, but no way to control the weather.

Beautiful views of the pictured rocks and Miner's Castle. Clean restrooms and a small gift shop. Easily accessible lookout with option for a walking trail to get closer to Miner's castle. Optional walk, but not necessary to enjoy great views!

My sister and I had a reserved seat on the sunset cruise to see the entire Pictured Rocks Nat'l Seashore. The day we arrived a fierce storm was brewing up 15-20 foot waves and the cruise was cancelled. We were so disappointed! But we saw where we could drive about 10 miles along the coast to view from above Miners... More
