We came on a school hiking / camping trip. I'm from Michigan and I've heard about it for years, but mostly just about the boat tours and the cliffs. But this as a hiking and camping experience in the National Lakeshore is unbelievable. Top ten experience in the U.S., has to be. Do your research and homework if you are... More

I LOVE this lakeshore! The waterfalls are beautiful! The cliffs with all the color on them due to mineral deposits are fantastic! The arch you can kayak through is really neat! The beautiful blue water with the yellowish gold color on the the cliffs is breathtaking! Then there are nice beaches to enjoy as well! Just be aware the water... More

Went in October 2015. Had a awesome boat ride. I would say when your getting on the boat, sit on the right side. If its cold out i would recomend sitting in the warm cabin. The wind is crazy cold and i think it was in the low 60s on the top of the boat and then the temp dropped... More

I have always been enchanted by Lake Superior, and seeing Pictured Rocks only heightened my infatuation. Take the time to head over to the viewing platform as it is free admittance. Try and spy some large fish in the green-blue water a few hundred feet below, and then take a walk down the well-constructed trail down to Miner's Rock. Simply... More

I describe this beautiful lakeshore to my friends as rainbow colored cliffs that has to be seen in your lifetime. Do not miss Miner's Castle from the deck viewing platform as well as Miner's Falls it will really help your appreciate this natural gift to us as a human family.

Words can't describe how beautiful it is if you have some appreciation of Art. Beautiful colors painted by Mother Nature on the walks over so many years. We took the cruise and feel that it is the best way to see the walls as seeing it from island itself would be difficult( rocks are facing water). Strongly recommend to take... More

It really seems like the best way to see these is from the water. It really is a sight - so incredibly high are the cliffs.

Took the boat tour to see the pictured rocks shoreline. It was excellent. You cannot see much from the shore, you need to take a boat tour to see and appreciate the beauty of the cliffs.

I'm not one to consider too touristy attractions, especially a boat tour that lasts 3 hours...However, I was pleasantly surprised by this experience! With all of the beautiful views, the trip was over almost too soon! Amazing rock formations and wild life (at least 3 Bald Eagles were sighted) are definitely worth the price of admission!
