We were so disappointed to get to the UP and realize most of the roads were still unplowed in April. We only got to see a very small portion of the lakeshore, so I can't speak to the true beauty of the area.

Great scenic spot in the U.P. Love the short hike to the waterfalls on the way to the lake.Road is paved all the way now, so no dust.
I highly recommend Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was so much to do and see, and we were only able to spend about a day here. I would highly recommend at least 2 days here. I wanted to see more! If you only have 1 day to spend here, I highly recommend what we did. It...

What a great place to see. The Boat narrator's story of Pictured Rocks was great. A little humor added to Historical facts. A beautiful day, with beautiful scenery. Have to make the trip!
I have been to Mexico and three Hawaiian islands, but Lake Superior's shore can't be beat. If you ask me, seeing Picture Rock's National Lakeshore via boat is more impressive than the Na Pali Coast by boat.
I took this trip a while back but felt it was worth reviewing. If you head north to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Head North-West from the "Bridge" to Munsing. Hop on the boat and sat back and enjoy the trip. Experiencing Pictured Rocks from the waters of Lake Superior is the only way to appreciate the brilliance that is found along...

I took part in a marathon on Grand Island, Michigan and had an opportunity to see Pictured Rocks. It is as beautiful as some of the places I have seen around the world in Hawaii, Australia, etc. I live only 5 hours south (in Wisconsin) and I can't believe such a breathtaking place exists so close to home. Lake Superior...

We explored Pictured Rocks for a couple of days on our way to Copper Harbor. It was a beautiful park! We hiked the short boardwalk trail to Munising Falls. Our family had a nice time playing on Lake Superior's shore and even swam in the very chilly water. Walking along the boardwalk trail we were able to see beautiful views...

We took our grandson on a quick overnight trip. We drove to Munising, Michagan where we took him out on a boat tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. He got into so much that he actually spotted two bald eagles in their nests along the way. Very interesting trip with plenty of photo opportunities. We may make this a regualr...

My wife and I did the boat trip to view the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in September 2012. It was wonderful. Hard to beleive that "Mother Nature" directed by God could make anything as beautiful and breath taking as these "painted" rocks. It is a must to see if anywhere near Michigan's U.P. and it has to be seen from...
