This is one of the most beautiful lake shores in the world. Do yourself a favor and rent a kayak or pontoon boat and spend a day exploring the lake shore.

Breathtaking views, relaxing, great crew, inexpensive, a must on the bucket list. Only note of caution, the boat after us was packed. Ours wasn't so bad, so we could move around between the 2 decks.

Visited Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in late summer and took in several of its attractions. First up was a stop at the Miners Castle viewing platforms. The upper platform provides a pretty view, but at the lower deck you almost feel like you could reach out and touch the rock formation! Plenty of parking here and newer restroom facilities. Might... The boat tour that takes you close to the rocks is a must-do on this trip. It gives you a beautiful view of this amazing landscape.

2 hours and 40 minutes of incredible upper peninsula cliffs with unbelievable colors. We sat on outdoor top deck to get better photos and would advise multi layers of clothing depending on your internal thermostat. But it was the highlight of this area.

It's a pretty location however I wish there's more information about the site itself also I wish that the path to the beach was a bit easier to get through there was a lot of obstacles mostly the sand was pretty annoying to walk through because it just sunk in no walk way was created and for some one with... Stunning sunsets, crystal clear water, and majestic shorelines. You can take a boat trip with a hundred other people, or take a kayak (which is what we did) and touch the rocks and caves along the shore line with your own hand.

I'm a native Yooper and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of the things that make the UP (and Michigan) so beautiful. My husband & I had been here years ago so were surprised and pleased with the improvements. The highway to get there is now paved and is one of the most scenic and peaceful ever. We stopped... More

The opportunity to see the Pictured Rocks turn colors in the setting sun is great. Our narrator/guide knows his history and gave us ongoing information as we followed the path of the Pictured Rocks. The only downside of this sunset tour is that we traveled back to shore as the temperature dropped another 10+ degrees. We were prepared but there... More
