We visited but the weather was quite cool and rainy. It was still beautiful, but didn't walk beyond the main lookout area. The water and the rocks are quite a site to see.

The rocks are very cool especially when viewed by boat. We rented a pontoon and it was perfect. You could stop at chapel beach and see the small cascade waterfall and find unique rocks. Also you could stop by waterfalls and swim.

There are several beautiful hiking trails along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. If you must walk on only one trail, try the Log Slide Trail - the sand dunes are a must see!

Loved exploring Pictured Rocks. The rock formations are amazing and best seen by boat cruise-they are especially beautiful in the late afternoon/early evening sun and the sunset on the water is the cherry on the sundae. There's also beautiful, secluded beaches, scenic overlooks with amazing views, beautiful wooded hiking trails that often lead to waterfalls. My only regret was that... More

It is probably the best scenic tour in Midwest. Beautiful Lake Superior, amazing multicolored sandstone cliffs, picturesque lighthouses make this tour to be cherished for a long time. For detailed experience of my Upper Peninsula tour and pictures you can have a look at http://eternalsunseeker.wordpress.com/2014/07/22/charming-upper-peninsula-of-michigan-a-weekend-trip/

The lakeshore is absolutely outstanding! It is so beautiful and yet indescribable. While the boat tour does give you the best views of the rocks there is so much more to do at the park We traveled with our 2 and 4 year old children. While at the park we visited Miner’s beach, where the kids loved throwing rocks into... More

Absolutely stunning. Great hiking. Kayaking along the rocks is a great experience and you get some incredible photos. The North Country Trail is really neat because a lot of it runs right along the edge of the rocks.
