We spent 4 days in the U.P., hiking the Porcupine Mountains, walking and climbing waterfalls in Pictured Rocks Nat'l Lakeshore, touring lighthouses and climbing towers. The amazing colors of the cliffs along the central south shore of Lake Superior are exceptionally vivid on the "sunset cruise" boat tour out of Munising. Pictured Rocks is sublime. We have been to the Pictured Rocks before and done the boat ride which is great. But this trip was just past season and we still enjoyed all the beautiful hike to the gorgeous waterfalls around the area. Worth a visit when the leaves are changing. more
