The water was calm and temps in the mid-60's -- ideal conditions for "picturing" all sorts of colorful images that seemed to appear along the way in "nature's artistic mural form." Sit up top on the boat (preferably on the left side, since the return trip seemed to bring this side of the boat even closer to the rocks). We... More

This attraction is great for families! Even my tween was impressed by the beauty. If you live in Michigan and haven't seen Pictured Rocks yet, this is a must!

Take the Pictured Rocks cruise for a wonderful, close-up view of this natural wonder. The cliffs are just amazing and so beautiful. Seeing this area is a real treat and very worth the time it takes for the tour.

Everything was great about this trip except the boat ride back. The narrative was interesting and on the way back the water was calm enough to get very close to the rocks. Our only complaint - the last 30 minutes of the trip was BORING! The 3 employees sat at the front and talked to each other. It took forever... More

Even though I still have mixed feelings about the improvements to H-58 Westbound out of Grand Marais, I have to admit the paved road gives access to vehicles and people who may not have tried this trek with sandpits around every corner. We typically stay in Grand Marais and head west, so that is how I will report. 1) Grand... More

We took the evening cruise on the recommendation of friends who had been there, and we were absolutely captivated by the beauty and color of the rock and the formations. It was like touring the southwest US by water. So glad we took the time to see this well kept secret!

line up early for the boat cruise . The upper area fills up fast . definetley sit on the starboard side of ship as you get a slower and better view for pictures going out than coming back

Pictured Rocks is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the United States. The colors in the rocks are amazing especially at sunset. This should not be missed.

What a great trip! The weather was perfect for our 4pm cruise. You'll need a jacket if you're sitting on top of the boat (which is the best view and on the right hand side). The crew did a great job of narrating the trip and making it enjoyable.

Had a great time. Pretty typical tour boat but Captain Cook was very informative of the area. Take the late day tours for sure; the sun during the day will be a detriment to seeing all of the colors that the rocks have on them. I did not check, but from the announcement, I believe the onboard snacks are Very... More
