I hadn't heard of this park before planning a trip to the UP but we are really glad that we camped here for two nights. This is a perfect place to hike, camp and go kayaking as well. The cliffs are really something to see with all the colors.

We arrived rather late and the line to board one of the two boats was long. Each boat seats about 70 people above, and 70 below. If you want to take photos, arrive early, and choose an outside seat. Several people blocked the view the whole way with the phones and tablets waving around in the air. The light is... More

We took the Pictured Rocks boat cruise. Pictured rocks formations & colors are breathtaking. Along the shoreline Lake Superior looks tropical blue. Absolutely beautiful! Definitely worth the trip up north!!!

Pictured Rocks National Lake shore is a must see if you are in the Upper Peninsula. It is unlike any other place I've been and you can do the tour by boat in about 2 1/2 hours. Take the last tour of the day at 5:00pm and you will be in for a real treat. The sun shines on the... More

This trip is well worth it. Allot of beautiful rock cliffs to see. You can see all of the different colors caused by all of the different minerals in the water seeping through the rock's.

We took the sunset cruise in late Sept. The trees were about at peak color and greatly added to the views. Get in line early, I would recommend an hour early. We were in line about 50 min prior to the boat leaving and there were several people already in line. There are several benches lined up to sit on... More

We took the 12:00 cruise on a beautiful sunny warm September day and could not have been more pleased. The ride was smooth and the air warm. The Captain gave us a terrific tour with a great dialog. He cruised as close as he could to the shore to give us spectacular camera shots. When he pulled the big boat... More

Pictured Rocks is a wonderfully wooded landscape with many trails and waterfalls. But, to really experience its beauty you should take the cruise that gives you great views of the colorful cliffs and rocks that give this place its name. Try to sit on the right side of the boat and dress warm, the breezes off of Lake Superior can... More

The best way to see the "pictured rocks" is from a boat out on the water, and the boat tour company did a good job of that. However, even if you don't take the boat tour, this is a nice park to visit. There are lots of hikes, both short and long. You can see a little of the colored... More
