I totally could not comprehend why they only sell tickets at 9.30am and 12.30pm.. this is definately a very unwise management of a heritage park..!.. People should be allowed to take the bamboo raft any time of the day...!!.. considering the all journey take less than 1.5 hours !
Imagine.. you are forced to take the raft at the hottest...

We went to Wuyishan after having been to Yangshuo/Guilin Province two years ago expecting a similar experience - but compared to Yangshuo it's a rather average spot. The entire place is run like a park, i.e. you have to pay a general entry fee, or you get one of the unofficial guides who help you to cheat around the official...

We have just returned from a 3 day trip to Wuyishan. It is a beautiful area in Fujian province. The scenic area has two entrances - north and south. The southern entrance is the one most used. We were approached as we were going to enter the park and two women offered to be our guides and save us money....

went to Wuyishan in February. beautiful place, definitely worth a visit if you like the nature side of things. was quite rainy, but still had a few days when it only rained in the evening. When getting out of the train station, if you walk down the road for about 10 or 15 minutes you;ll get to a main road...
