Because we stayed here for one night 2 years back, we thought to give it another go, this time for a 7 day stay, for this trip to Namibia. My fiance was doing the Fish River Canyon hike of 6 days, and this ends at the Ai-Ais Resort, so it was ideal to stay there and wait for him while... More

What a pity! A very long journey for this?!!? The location is stunning and it is obvious that this place was originally well built but it has been sadly neglected. The management must be asleep because it is very badly run. There were no direction signs and a chronic lack of staff to advise where to go or what to... More

We stopped at Ai-Ais as our last stop before returning to South Africa. Being to excellent facilities in namibia, this was just a disappointment. Trudie at reception was very friendly and helpful though. The rooms were quite disappointing. Our mirror was broken, but it wasnt removed or replaced. The outside shower was dirty and the walls and floor were mouldy.... More

Ai-Ais was our first stop in Namibia and what a disappointment it was. We were really looking forward to a nice swim in the thermal pools but the they were cold. We couldn't bring meat into Namibia from South Africa and wanted to buy some but the shop was shockingly expensive (R80 for a pack of boerewors, R30 for a... More

Very disappointing. Accommodation was terrible, broken windows of our chalet was replaced with cardboard. it looks very delapitated. Reception Staff not too friendly. The restaurant is ok, but definitely not the best. Wouldn't stay here again.

After driving from Cape Town, Ai-Ais was a welcome stop. Road was abit rough in a sedan but we made it. Its beautiful to walk through the canyon and in the evening swim in the warm water pool. Camping is definitely the way to do it. When You leave go see the Canyon from above... breathtaking:)

Wow, what a beautiful setting. Very hot though, so don't go during summer. We thought we'll cool down in the "cold" pool outside but it just so happens that it was hotter than the one hot pool in the inside of the hotel. Staff is very friendly and the food are excellent and definitely value for money. Amazing road to... More

We went to Fish River Canyon -WHICH IS AWESOME- & spent 2 night at Ai-Ais on their B&B facility. After travelling into the area where there is nothing or no one, to arrive in this oasis is a pleasure! The whole infrastructure is fantastic, the food is fantastic, the staff very friendly and the hot water springs are great! I... More

Ai Ais is an interesting place that I have visited four or five times over the last 20 years. My last visit was in October 2012 and this was my experience. When booking we received contradictory comment regarding the national park fee and after 7 phone calls to Namibia we were told the fee was not payable although all documentation... More
