We attended for the Be the Dino exhibit, our young family is currently in the dinosaur obsessed stage so anything dino related a must see, but we're surprised to find this amazing little museum. Be the Dino combines traditional dinosaur exhibit elements with video game modules that allow the player to interact as the dinosaurs, younger children will need help... More

The Midland Center for the Arts is a surprisingly modern, upmarket and spacious facility for the size of town it is situated in. The shows on offer are varied and there seems to be something worth attending at all times of the year. It has a relatively large volunteer base and the center is a much loved venue in Midland.... This is the smallest theatre I have ever seen that offered such BIG TIME appeal! It has everything that Broadway has but on a much smaller scale... The box office, small and large stages, outdoor space, indoor space and even a lounge for socializing and/or receptions after events! Very impressive! The red carpeting and large columns throughout make you forget... More

This place has a varied venue, from theater, concerts, and plays to a museum. There is so much for the younger generation to do these days but the museum is a true hands on experience for kids. Watch for the newest displays at MCA or a new play or show, or go on-line and plan your stop in Midland, this... More

MCFTA is a stimulating and exciting arts venue. From symphonies to folk music, theater and children's entertainment, art classes and more, the MCFTA is a community center for the arts. It is especially nice that the auditorium is big enough to attract 'star' level entertainers, but intimate enough to really feel the music.

Our young grandsons enjoy the first floor with the large fish tank, mastodon skeleton, and pendulum. We are usually there for one of the traveling exhibits so we head up to the top floors to enjoy such exhibits as Frogs, China, Sue the T Rex, and Grossology. My wife and I also enjoy attending the theater for concerts and plays.... More

The three year old and her 31 year old daddy lived the finger paint wall (no mess magic) and musical instruments. It is all good.

The only thing that stops me from giving the Midland Center for the Arts an "excellent" rating is that the permanent exhibits are not great. I grew up in Midland, and many of the exhibits haven't changed since the 80's. However, my kids think they're cool, so that's a definite plus. The traveling exhibits can be small sometimes, but both... More

I have been to the museum several times. I often come for the rotating exhibit and always leave a little disappointed. The exhibits that rotate are often small and leave something to be desired. I finish my visit quickly and am left with the decision to leave, walk through the completely undesirable year-round exhibit, or meander through the over-priced gift... More
