MCFTA is a stimulating and exciting arts venue. From symphonies to folk music, theater and children's entertainment, art classes and more, the MCFTA is a community center for the arts. It is especially nice that the auditorium is big enough to attract 'star' level entertainers, but intimate enough to really feel the music.

Our young grandsons enjoy the first floor with the large fish tank, mastodon skeleton, and pendulum. We are usually there for one of the traveling exhibits so we head up to the top floors to enjoy such exhibits as Frogs, China, Sue the T Rex, and Grossology. My wife and I also enjoy attending the theater for concerts and plays.... More

The three year old and her 31 year old daddy lived the finger paint wall (no mess magic) and musical instruments. It is all good.

The only thing that stops me from giving the Midland Center for the Arts an "excellent" rating is that the permanent exhibits are not great. I grew up in Midland, and many of the exhibits haven't changed since the 80's. However, my kids think they're cool, so that's a definite plus. The traveling exhibits can be small sometimes, but both... More

On June 12, we drove in from Cleveland OH to attend a Huey Lewis and the News concert. We have seen his concerts many times at other venues but never have we enjoyed his performances more than at the Midland Center of the Arts! Beginning with the online ticket purchase, Being from out of town, I wanted to purchase pre-sale... More

I have been to the museum several times. I often come for the rotating exhibit and always leave a little disappointed. The exhibits that rotate are often small and leave something to be desired. I finish my visit quickly and am left with the decision to leave, walk through the completely undesirable year-round exhibit, or meander through the over-priced gift... More

I remember going here as a kid and seeing all of the cool displays, kind of like a science museum. they have different themes during the year, and also have many plays and shows.

We attended a concert in the main arena and also a separate craft fair spread over a number of reception areas reception areas. This in itself illustrates that the building can be used for various types of functions. The sound quality at the concert was satisfactory and the group performing were excellent (illustrating that top acts are attracted to the... More

Good spot to catch concerts and plays. The other half is a museum, with a kids touch interactive gallery. They also have changing collections from art to motorcycles. stop in and check it out.

Entertainment centers like the Center for the Arts are usually found in large cities. Midland is so lucky to have this center. It is beautiful inside and out. The grounds are lovely and the area features a really great weekend art fair in early June with entertainment outdoor and good food and great art. The Christmas Art show is equally... More
