An interesting place with a very knowledgeable tour guide. If you are into architectural structure, this would be a very good place for you to visit. The general history of the place would also prove to be of interest.

The curator was a fount of knowledge and spent well over the typical 45 minute tour time with us, even though it was just my husband and myself. We learned a lot about the entire community of Marshall as well as the Honolulu House and it was beneficial to the rest of our stay for other attractions to see.

Reasonably priced tour at $5 per person. Tour guide was very friendly and was very informative about house. Architecture was very unique and the story behind the house was worth the stop.

We had an excellent tour guide. There were just 3 in our group but she was very thorough and took a lot of time answering our questions and explaining things. This house is beautiful and the story behind it is definitely worth hearing. From the outside it looks huge, but we were surprised at the size of it inside. It's... More

Was planning on a quick stop in Marshall to handoff a foster pup on his way to his forever home, but found Honolulu House on Tripadvisor and decided to take a tour. Such a wonderful visit. Ann, our tour guide, was fabulous and the house is really a work of art. Be sure to take the tour rather than just... More

My mom and I really didn't know anything about this place before dropping by, but it was highly recommended by our host (that we were staying with in Marshall), so we decided to give it a go. The house is a beautiful piece of art. The architecture is lovely (Polynesian and Asian influenced) and the interior artwork and furniture is... More

Had an excellent tour of this historical home, led by Sue. There were four of us. She spent an hour explaining the significance of beautifully painted walls and ceilings of this home inspired by a government official. The Marshall Historical Society has spent much time and money restoring this Marshall landmark. Small fee for tour. Can also go through house... More

From the moment you walk in until you leave, you are surrounded by unbelievable beauty and splendor. All painted by one man and couple assistants in about a year is just mind boggling considering the detail and complexity of the design. If you like home tours and grandeur, this home is for you.

Well worth the trip inside and out. Interesting tour of days gone by. Intricate hand painted walls that will amaze you. Old artifacts and furnishings to view. Saw this on the Marshall Historic Home Tour.
