We stayed in an apartment near downtown and were able to walk around town to the lakefront and to restaurants. The Blueberry Festival was going on while we were there - lots of merchants, arts and crafts, music - great people watching too.

The small businesses werenice and all the people working in them were friendly. There is something for everyone. It is a beautiful area that appears as though the residents take pride in.

Most of the downtown was built years ago but has been well taken care of. Small town atmosphere and extremely friendly to walk about. Many smaller tourist types of shops, just fun to go into. They have a candy and ice cream shop in the middle of town that you should probably avoid if your on any kind of diet.... More

The downtown has character. The view to the lake is nice. Stores are not only for tourists. What would winter be like?

Downtown Marquette is so cute and quaint with a lot of nice restaurants. My husband and kids enjoyed walking around. The ambience is lovely and people are great.

Really nice small town downtown. If you have children the children's museum is a must. Our grandchildren loved it. Gest is a great department store. It had great sales while we were there. There are numerous good places to eat and everything is within walking distance.

Downtown was a quick walk from our hotel and had some nice shops and restaurants as well as good brew pubs within short proximity of each other. There is a nice park and playground near the marina which is worth going to if you have small kids. Be ready for some hills though so have some good shoes if you... More

Such a great place to visit. The people are friendly, there are a ton of cool shops, and the views are spectacular. Donckers is a must if you're visiting. Little presque isle beach is a gorgeous, secluded beach to visit. Watch out for the black flies! They have a nasty bite.

Great small town charm. The shops were what you would expect in a small college town. The cafes and coffee shops were awesome. The restaurants here have everything you want from fresh seafood, German food to fine dining. You will not be disappointed.

We went to see the courthouse. It was used in "Anatomy of a Murder". It has been kept in the same decor as when built in 1902. A real jewel. The court bailiff gave us an hour tour. Thank, Bob.
