Even if you are just driving around to see the sites....please don't miss out on taking the time to drive around this down town area. It is really pretty, the views are wonderful and the growth in this town is really something. It was a treasure we can't wait to go back and explore.

Great downtown area. Plenty of shops to whet your interest. Many restaurants for all tastes and prices. Worth the walk down Washington Street.

This is a great town to shop in, dine in, play in, and relax in! Everyone is kind and courteous. The stores are unique but not over priced! Plus the lake views are great! Even my husband enjoyed our shopping trip!

Downtown appeared to be nice, We were there on a Monday night and most shops were closed by 7pm. There were a number of restaurants open. We also walked down to the pier and the lake was beautiful.

Beautiful old Marquette. Lots of shops to explore. Great variety of dining options. just park the car at the parking garage and meander the streets. We visit all our old haunts about once a month and love it. Don't wast time out at the big chain stores when you can have a unique and interesting experienc downtown.

Marquette has a cute downtown area which is scenic and fun to wander with a few restaurants located right on Washington Street: Donckers, The Dog House, Aubree's, Babycakes, The Irish Rover, Lagniappe with L'Attitude, Sol Azteca located closer to the Lower Harbor Park. Elizabeth's, The Vierling, and The Landmark are close by on Front Street. Cute stores to wander through... More

Marquette is getting better. it was always a pretty main street but now it appears almost all the stores are in business. The only thing that would move it to the Excellent category would be for the Delft Theater to reopen (which I've heard it will). It isn't quite Bar Harbor, but it's the closest thing the midwest has.

Marquette has a small town charm but being the largest city for miles means it offers a lot more than comporable cities of the same size. Lake Superior is an awesome feature and the restarants and shops are fun to check out. We look forward to a return trip.
