Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants to check out, what a great place! I would recommend Vierling or Donckers for a meal and then shopping at Getzs and all of the little boutiques!

My last trip to Marquette, Michigan and friends and I visited a shop called Hot Plate, which is a shop where customers can paint ceramic pottery, and pick it up a couple days later after it has been glazed and fired. We had a great time, and my sister has been there multiple times. The... More

We found several fun shops to explore, as well as some great restaurants! Some we discovered on our own, others were recommended. It was pleasant walking downtown.

The architecture is spectacular. The shops and downtown businesses are very friendly and offer a lot of unique merchandise to this area. Everything is within walking distance and busses are everywhere. Bicycles are most welcome everywhere also. It is a very clean and historical area of Marquette.

Downtown Marquette is filled with many shops, eateries and interesting buildings, such as the County Courthouse, and the library. (The library has a café with excellent food, including home made soups). Downtown is just a few blocks from the waterfront, and it is up on a hill, so the views are quite terrific. The best pasty place is not located... More

Attended the yearly Blueberry Festival in downtown Marquette. Was impressed with the number of vendors. Loved the music. We had a great time.
