Great attractions from the area

We enjoyed seeing some of the displays and learning about the area. The original lenses from some of the lighthouses were there and very interesting to us. Very friendly employees.

This museum is very good. Lots of information packed into it. Well worth seeing. Some of displays rather old and primitive but well done.. The light house was being restored so was off limits at the time of our visit.

Lots of history about the lakes and local businesses related to shipping. The only negative we have about this place is the way the women at the front were talking about other patrons and they obviously didn't care about our business either.

Pleasantly surprised with our visit. We were kind of killing time as the morning was rainy. Had just visited Great Lake Shipwreck Museum couple days earlier. MMM has very informative exhibits.

Quaint museum that looks small and turns out to be spectacular. We went with 3 teens who were entranced, along with the adults. This is a 'must not miss' outing for anyone who likes history. Top marks for content, exhibits and price!

Enjoyed the informational movie. Spent about an hour in the museum. We did not do the lighthouse tour as they only do it once a day and we would have had to wait 3 hours.

Great museum. The kids loved the periscope in the lobby. They could not figure out how the optics worked. The kids also enjoyed the scavenger hunt and exhibits about the shipwrecks. We did not do the additional lighthouse tour, but it looked fun. Plan to spend an hour.

Self guided museum, there was a short video telling some history of Lake Superior. The museum was small & cost I think $16 for 2 kids & 2 adults for the museum only. The lighthouse tour (additional fee) was scheduled later that afternoon (we already had other plans). We spent about 30 minutes there & my 10 & 12 year... More

My hubby and I found many interesting facts about the Great Lakes that we were unaware of. Sad that we could not tour the lighthouse as the staff was short handed on the day of our visit.
