Presque Isle Park is a great place to drive, hike, and bike around. It has beautiful views and you can see wildlife as well. Nice place to picnic and watch the sunset as well.

It's a Marquette tradition to drive around the island. A great place for watching the sunset. Get an ice cream cone at the island store!

Presque Isle park should not be missed if you are visiting Marquette. Just a couple minutes from downtown, it offers beautiful views of the lake and you may even enjoy a swim---but please be careful if you do!! And don't forget to look for deer and other interesting critters along the way...

We were in the area and on a whim decided to check out the sites. A friend suggested Presque Isle but had not been in the winter. I cannot wait to come back! We parked at the bottom and kinda followed the footsteps in the snow. There is hardly anyone up there, you may see another person or two. The... More

Parked at the front because the park was closed to vehicle traffic and wandered down the path taking in the beauty of Lake Superior to see the Black Rocks. Well worth it. My tip for other travelers would be don't go in August, if you stop moving once you get to the black rocks you're swarmed by black biting flies.... More

You can take a short drive, bike or run around the park. There is a lot to do in such a small vicinity. Many people surf here, there are running trails and a great place to swim if you dare. Lake Superior really never warms up.

This little gem has a driving loop with scenic stops but is best seen on foot. Be aware that they have a rotating schedule for which the park is closed to car traffic. It is posted at the entrance. There is a neat rocky beach as you turn left on the loop, take a sharp right that is basically a... More

I attended college in Mqt. way back in the 70's and we always had picnics at Presque Isle Park. It is a wonderful place to just relax, enjoy Lake Superior and take leisurely walks in the park. Even nowadays when we're in Mqt. we always stop or do a drive-thru.

We visit here to see the waves breaking on the break wall. Really good if you can be there during high winds. Didn't like that we could not drive all the way around but I am sure it was for safety.

Very nice place to visit. You can take a car ride around the park, which could take 10 minutes. Stopping at various points would take additional time, and if you like hikes, a hike around the park could take an hour or more. It is up to you on how much time you want to spend. It is a beautiful... More
