This park is part of the city of Marquette and a great place to walk or bike. You can just drive and stop to look out at the water also. This is a great place to "get away" without leaving town.

We would have visited, if it was open. This park is somewhere that we always wanted to stop at. Finally we thought we would see it during our spring trip. Unfortunately the drive was still closed for the winter on Mothers Day May 12. We drove into the first parking lot, saw the pier and a freighter unloading but that...

deserted at this time of the year but even better it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Love the walk ways and paths leading to the park. have stopped to have picnics along the way many times.

A beautiful park located on the rugged shores of Lake Superior. You can spend the day doing as much or as little as you wish, and it is all within easy driving distance back to town. Be sure to check it out the next time in the area!
i wanted to see the unfrozen water of lake superior and you can. it was very cool to see the ice going up and down because of the waves underneath.
I found this gem through geocaching several years ago. Many amenities located here - picnic pavillion, picnic tables, grills, playground, hiking trails.... Wildlife is free to roam the park and I was able to walk within 15ft of a deer. One can drive the loop, with several pull off locations to view scenery, walk, or bike around the isle. Much...

If you like the outdoors, you are going to love this little isle! There's history, a fabulous view, many areas to walk and bike, or drive and park the car. There are little beach areas, plenty of rocks to climb, and absolutely gorgeous scenery.
Looking for a brief retreat among the trees, with views of Lake Superior. This park offers both. Drive it. Bike it. Walk it. Take advantage of the occasional scenic overlook to feel the breeze in your face, hear the crashing of waves on the rocky shoreline, view the wildlife (deer & such), and maybe share a bottle of wine while...

On a recent trip, we visited Preque Isle Park several times. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset from Sunset Point. I also rented a bicycle and rode through park one morning when it was closed to motor vehicles. Great views, good picnic area, and lots of fun. We enjoyed watching an ore boat being loaded while we ate lunch as well...
