Pro's- Is nice being right on Lake Michigan. Like some said though, the beach area is small this year. That is no fault of the park but is just mother nature as the water levels are very high. Sunset was beautiful. Nice walking trail(s). Bathrooms/showers were decent and great water pressure in showers. Fire rings were plenty big and sufficient... More

This is a small campground, sites are tight with fair tree coverage. The bathrooms are in good shape, clean. Showers are individual cubicles outside the bathroom, they are clean. The sound of the water was very relaxing and sunsets are worth the stay. Site 56 is on the loop near the road but, fewer large campers at that end and... More

Very nice camp ground. Grassy lots with quite a bit of shade. Some had pads. The sites are kind of close together. The campground is right next to a bluff that overlooks Lake Michigan. Long walk to the beach using the stairs, but there are several nice beaches in town or just down the road. The showers and bathrooms are... More

We originally found this place when we took the Manistee Trolly Tour. Our driver, Dan, and tour guide Kevin , informed us about the history of the beach originally being a " model farm".The beach is family friendly , but most of the beaches in Manestee are. Take the Trolly tour for $6 and see all the beaches and MUCH... More

Fantastic State Park, gorgeous beach. A lovely little state park. The lake side of the main road has very few 'trails' for hiking, but has an awesome beach just a few (100) steps down the bluff. You can walk for miles down this secluded beach, both north and south. We stayed in the camper cabin and really enjoyed our week... More

Like others have said the views from the cliffs are awesome! There's about 80 steps down to the beach and the water is extremely high this year so there's only about 5' of beach. Every night around 9 campers start making their way up to the hill top to catch the sunset. Make sure to bring plenty of leveling blocks... More

The park was okay. It was very close together and there was no trees. The lake was the best part! There were biting flys all over, the fire pits are worn down. And it is very tight to get into the spot.
