Aaron Murdick's in Mackinac City is the real deal. If there is not a first name in front of "Murdick" in the store name (I.e. "Original Murdick" as on the island) it is not authentic Murdick family fudge. In fact the island fudge is so bad the owner won't even put his own name on the shop and mooches off... More

Bought fudge in Mackinaw City. Was not good. Grainy and too sugary. Disappointing. Joanns was much better.

Ok I wrote a review about Joanns because I am stumped that anyone with taste buds could even think that Joanns fudge is better tasting than Murdicks. I m not a smoker - maybe that makes a difference? Driving north for the summer and seeing all the signs on 75 N made me realize a taste test and reviews were... More

We actually bought our supply of fudge at a different establishment, but they sell ice cream too and the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream was delicious. It is very interesting to watch them pour the fudge out on the marble slab tables and work it into a big log for slicing.

I don't know where to begin. This fudge was the best I have ever had in the Straits area and I've qutie a few of them. I have even seen the Kilwin's semi park on main street and two wheel cases to all the different shops. Aaron Murdick's Fudge shop is definitely not on that truck route. The fudge has... More
