AT the time that we were there, most shops had big sales! We bought more than we usually purchase on vacations. It was busy but every shop owner or worker was very glad to see us.
I don't know what's happened the last few years, but the shopping is not what it used to be the Crossing. Used to have a lot of unique and fun shops, and while there are still a few here and there, more junkie tourist shops have taken over. With just a glance, we walked through, but didn't stop in any... Beautifully laid out and definitely tourist geared. You'll find just about anything here. Prices are good. FUDGE, FUDGE, FUDGE!!!!!!
We enjoyed walking through the shops at the Mackinaw Crossings. The small outdoor type mall has a few unusual shops worth a look. There is a small playground for young children. There are benches and other seating for resting. They put on a laser light show each evening. They used to pack the people in for these laser light shows,... More
I visited this shopping/ dining area while visiting Machinaw City and Island. There are many nice shops selling the usual souvenirs like magnets, t shirts, shot glasses, postcards, etc. There is a nice variety of stores here including a religious bookstore/gift shop, fudge and snack shops, Delsol which sells nail polish which changes colors in sunlight , kids stores, etc.... Mackinaw Crossing is a must to visit!! There are so many little shops and restaurants in this area. Also a wonderful hardware store and also a great bakery just around the block. The shops are diverse. There are many trinket shops with fun gifts but there are also many beautiful shops with glassware and jewelry and clothing. You will come... More
Most of the shops sell the typical souvenirs and knick knacks. If you see a tshirt or sweatshirt at one store, you'll see the same tshirt or sweatshirt at another store. They all have pretty much the same prices. The bronze man statue on a bike is fun to watch. I am not going to spoil the fun, just put... More
The shops are typical. Lots of your run of the mill souvenirs. Hosh posh knick-knacks, fudge and popcorn shops, t-shirts, gag gifts, etc, etc. There's a unique store here and there but they are few and far between. If you are looking for handmade items/art galleries than you might be disappointed. I myself love artist villages and the like, but... More
Seems like it used to have more for the kids to do and now it is just a big shopping place. Laser show at night was a unique experience. Disappointed not enough fun for kids. 3D glass maze was cool though!

Best place for our shopping day! loved the different shops. Had lots of things to chose from. Enjoyed the wine tasting rooms, the old time photos place, the playground was a plus, good ice cream!
