Expensive to get in, kids enjoyed the zip line, rock wall, and bridge. Wish we could of spent more time walking the trails. The demonstrations were not going on while we were there and I think those would of been cool to see.

We stopped on our way home from St. Ignace. This place has some great hiking trails that are easy to walk and have the estimated walking time so you can choose which trail is best for your group. One tip for the trails, wear bug spray! We forgot ours and went on the medium length trail and we were practically... More

Great place to learn about the history of the area. They demonstrate cutting logs both by hand & water powered saw. The interpereter demonstrating the saw mill is very knowlegeable & very personable. If you go, don't miss out on the zip line, it's short, but very fun!

Your kids will probably want to do the rock climbing wall and the zip line (which were a good deal of fun), but the best part in my opinion was the sawmill presentation. The naturalists at the park really take their time, answer all your questions, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Mike McCarthy, the... More

I've been coming to the UP for over 10 years and this is the first time I've been here! The zip line was great, trails, guides, presentations, it was all so great and super cheap!

this was a nice place that we and the kids both enjoyed. my husband and I loved the history and seeing the mill operate was an added perk. for an additional $8 per person we added the adventure package and were able to cross the rope bridge, zipline and attempt to climb the rock wall. the kids were loving the... There is two parts to this park, the historical mill and the adventure nature park. The nature adventure includes cable bridge, zip line, nature talk, tower and rock walk. The guide was very nice, knowledgeable and definitely had a love of nature. The mill has a period dressed presenter who explains and demonstrates how the mill changed history in that... More

There is a lot to see here. You need to listen to the demonstration of the logging, see the barn, and the working water-powered saw mill. Presenter was very knowledgeable about the subject and even kept the attention of our 3 year olds. They wanted to get right up close to him and see all of the action. It was... More

This is the first park that I have been in where they treat you better than family. The prices are very affordable and they have a variety of activities for everyone in your group. Zip lining ,wall climbing, and several trails are a must Annemarie was our tour guide, and she was fantastic. The highlight however, was being able to... More

The entire park is great with many different attractions and walking paths, but by far the best is the water-powered saw mill. The host for this is fantastic and does a great job of involving the audience including young adults. His knowledge is great, he has a good sense of humor, and the actual cutting demonstration is superb! Also enjoyed... More
