We have tried to visit a few places with butterflies previously and all have fallen short. But this place is the real deal. They had an area where you could view cocoons from all over the world that are in various stages of opening to be added to the main room. The main attraction is of course a huge (very... More

We come back every year to see all the new butterflies coming out of their cocoon and then walk around tons of butterflies. If you sit still they will land on you!

This is a small venue - with flowers and lots of butterflies. if you just walked through it would take you less than 5 minutes but if you slow down, sit down, just relax then it's a half hour of butterfly watching & chasing and some great pictures. There is a wide variety of colored butterflies - and a viewing... More

Well worth the $8 adult entry. A small covered butterfly sanctuary. One of a kind. I just loved getting up close and personal with the butterflies and the pictures are simply amazing.

I went to this and the other butterfly house on the island (Wings of Mackinac), and I think I liked the other one better. Wings of Mackinac is cooler inside, so it was more comfortable to sit for a while and enjoy the surroundings, and it had glass walls so you could see outside. Butterfly House is hotter and in... I cannot believe there are bad review about this place. The staff is extremely friendly and there are hundreds of butterflies flying around. There is also a room that has reptiles and various insects. Yes, there are two butterfly places on the island and both are great. But this one has much more to offer you as far as various... More

The butterfly house is a nice small attraction. Be sure to go in the afternoon when the butterflies tend to be more active (We visted in the cool spring weather).

I enjoyed the wide variety of butterflies and moths - from Asia, Africa, Madagascar, and the Americas! The first room has the emergence area, where hundreds of chrysalis are hung in neat rows behind glass. Poster charts helped us identify the butterlies that we saw emerging! We then entered the live garden room, where we spotted several butterflies and moths... More

We visited here last June. There were butterflies everywhere. All 4 of us in my family had a butterfly (or 2 or 3) land on us. Staff was friendly and informative.
