My son and I make sure we visit the Haunted Theatre every time we visit Mackinac Island. It is a combination of mechanical and human touches. It never ceases to make us jump. A very good deal for $7 each. Make sure you pick up a T-shirt from there also!!

I took the tour with my 76 year old mother who wanted to check the place out. She anticipated it being a theater. It was what I expected, being a cheesy walk through maze with 30+ year old paper mache artifacts. Probably best suited for the 8 - 15 year old crowd

If you have little ones....it's worth the price. A little cheesy but any little boy under 10 will flip for this place!!!! My son loved it! It was worth it just to see him yell and giggle through the entire thing.

This is a fun activity for the entire family - Entertaining for all ages...and not too scary for the little ones

My boyfriend and I decided on a whim to give this place a try as we were walking down the main street on the island. The admission is inexpensive ($10, I think). I was very surprised at how scared I got - I grabbed on to the shoulder of a poor mother whom I had never met as we were... More

For a little place ran by just one guy on the day we went, it was awesome. I love to get spooked and he did it. All of the exibits were really creepy looking and I just wanted to sit and look at them. (The owner had other plans lol). Come to find out some of the exibits had really... More

I brought my nearly 7 year old & 11 year old boys here & they are still talking about this experience. The wax figures were a little hokey for myself, but they were scary for the younger crowd. We had to make a dash for the exit due to the kids' nerves & my boys still question whether it was... More

The tickets should cost about $2 per person, rather than $7. My daughters, ages 12 and 10, were extremely underwhelmed. There was nothing remotely frightening in here.

This is a fun haunted house/theatre. The man behind the creatures also made some famous movie characters like the Thing, Howling and also the Dark Crystal. They will make sure it isn't scary for little kids. Many laughs and few screams! The scare team was great!!

So this is basically a wax museum. You look through the glass a different monsters. There is a lot of dark rooms or corridors with noises throughout the house. Nothing will grab you or touch you. This might be too scary for younger kids. Younger teens might find the monsters a little cheese, but will probably get a fright. Older... More
