This is two miles from home, beautiful sugar sand beach, perfect for early morning walks and sunsets are unrivaled. Very popular place especially in warm weather. Very clean and inviting.

Our first visit here was in July 2012 and this park and beach is the whole reason we decided to come back to the area for an extended vacation in 2013. The whole area is beautiful and the people are friendly. This park has a beautiful beach and wonderful concession stand. The kids had a blast playing on the beach... More

I love this place. Sometimes I drive from Muskegon just to hang out here for a couple of hours. It seems more private and serene. I love taking pictures here and sending them to people who live in boring cities with no beautiful beaches. That's not nice. Lol

Big wide sloping beach. Very clean and great views of the pier and lighthouse. Lots of parking and easy to find.

I loved that this beach had free parking. We arrived around 11am and there was plenty of open parking. By the time we left, around 3pm, it was pretty full in the parking lot. Plenty of room on the beach though. You can have your own private area without being crammed in with a lot of people. The walk out... More

I love this park growing up in Ludington, then being away for forty some years, coming back thing are all new in town things I could never have imagined or had the vision, just amazing how it has changed, and for the good except for all the gulls on the beach, the bath houses all remodeled on both ends, nice... We stayed overnight across the street from this beach. Large beach-maybe due to low Lake waters-was very well maintained and clean. Sat on a bench and watched the sun go down and the Badger car ferry sail off into the sunset. Walked out to the end of the breakwater and had lovely views back to the shore. Very nice town.... More

Very clean and nice beach and park area. Has a walkway out onto beach. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset over the water and beach right from your car if you wish.

We spent a great afternoon here: soft sand, small dunes to climb, a nice playground, two sets of clean public bathrooms, a little snack shop, a walkable pier and a light house. What more could you ask for? There was plenty of free parking too. No complaints at all.

Large for a city beach. Close to everything. Amazing sunsets. Not too crowded. Lots of free parking. Bathrooms and snacks. A wonderful beach.
