This is a beautiful park for all seasons! Sought after campsites in summer and fall, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, and year round hiking. There is access to both Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake, a great inland lake, that is ideal for recreational boating. It is a showcase for local flora and fauna, too! Don't miss a... More

Miles (literally) of Lake Michigan beaches, a beautiful inland lake right on the campsites, a slow winding lazy river perfect for tubing that connects the two lakes, 20+ miles of hiking trails that go through both huge sand dunes and dense forests. There might not be a better place to visit and/or vacation in the lower peninsula of Michigan if... More

This is a gem of a state park offering a little of everything – camping, hiking trails, water sports, sandy beaches/dunes, Hamlin Lake, a lighthouse, and Lake Michigan sunsets. We visit the park for the miles of scenic hiking trails. It’s awesome – especially in the autumn when the fall colors are changing. We always see wildlife – a variety... More

There is so much to do in this State Park....it's so much more than just staying to camp or hike. The trails are amazing, fun and relaxing. The river down the middle of it to tube or kayak is soooo fun, we do it every summer, several times a summer. We live in town and even go and camp because... More

Explore all of the trails! Our favorite is the island trail where we see a lot of water, cross a lot of bridges and see swans and deer.

No matter the season Ludington State Park is beautiful. Beaches, trails, river, dam, Hamlin Lake, boat/canoe rental, guided nature & snowshoe hikes (don't miss the February Lantern lit snowshoe hikes along Sable River - bonfire, hot cocoa...)
