I travel with my entire family year round pretty much, for work. We like to stop by the state parks whenever possible and take in the scenery. This park is in a gem. Beautiful scenery, a waterfall, amazing wildlife if you look around you! I walked around for hours in amazement at all of the park. There is fishing allowed... More

Whether you like to camp, fish, hike or just picnic, LSP is the place to be to enjoy the outdoors. During the summer months you can rent a variety of water toys ie canoes, paddle boards, kayaks etc and in the winter snow shoes are available. The scenery is breath taking from the sky walk.

I love the state park. Beautiful beaches, great hiking trails, snowshoe trails, cross-country skiing, kayak, camp. Everything you need in one place. Impressed that there is a wheelchair accessible trail that takes you along the river and across the dam. Staff is always helpful during the summer season. a beautiful place to get away.

There is nothing to dislike. There are ships to watch. Playgrounds for children. Beaches for couples. Forests to walk in. Lots of vairous shops and restaurants. We like the OLD HAMLIN restaurant and the Ponderosa. Of course there is always the House of Flavors. Tube down the river from Hamlin Lake into Lake Michigan. Great dam to fish from, 3... More

Great place for a family camping trip. We have been here two different times and my kids love it here. There are bike trails, hiking trails, swimming in Lake Michigan or Lake Hamlin. We enjoyed tubing also. One of my favorite places to take my family camping.

Everything about the Ludington State park is great. You're right on Lake Michigan and you are also on Hamlin Lake. Great fishing area's and the trails are great for the family. The lot's are spacious and lot's of tree's. There is a nice slow moving river to tube down that goes all the way to the beach. Living in Ludington... More

This was our first visit to Ludington State Park, just as day visitors, not campers. We hiked by the river and dam, and on one of the nature trails alongside Hamlin Lake. The trail was splendid with beautiful lake views and quiet forest moments, though it was a little busy on a Saturday morning. We returned the next day to... More

I had some high expectations heading to Ludington State Park and it still managed to exceed them. From the absolutely beautiful trails, to the great lakeshore, lighthouse, campgrounds, etc., it does not disappoint. I highly recommend the Skyline trail. Its worth the massive stairway. The views are breathtaking. I also recommend going to see the lighthouse but take the gravel... More

1. The park is the perfect location to watch sunset with its long shoreline facing the west. 2. No mosquitos like some other parks do. 3.
