Such a great place to see. The water there is so clean. A lot of places to walk and enjoy the beauty of a lakeside area.

My wife and I went for a stroll around the park and really enjoyed it. The dam is awesome. Everything in the area is really beautiful. If you like nature walks and are in Ludington, then check out this state park. Entry is $9.

Great park, likely the best in the state. With the access to the water via boardwalk, river mouth or on the beach it is great for all ages and capabilities. The lighthouse is a great stop, but the walk may be too long for some folks, so make sure to take breaks and bring water. The beach and the sunset... More

Great for hiking, photography and history. See the dam and lake. Canoe/watercraft rentals are outrageously expensive. Bathrooms are "rustic" i.e take a deep breath before entering!

What a wonderful state park! They had hosted a star gazing class and after a beautiful day to relax and listen about the stars in the sky and watch the sunset go down and the waves splashing on shore it was a nice way to end the day!!! I learned a lot and the speaker was very good he didn't... More

This park is almost always crowded in the summer, so don't expect to drop in and find a camping spot. However, even if you can't camp there's always room to park your car, walk about, and enjoy beautiful, clear water. It's a great place for fishing and birdwatching, with delightful trails (some hilly, all pretty) and a classic lighthouse. You... More

There is great hiking, fishing, camping and swimming. Other people wait their whole year to come here but we are lucky enough to live 6 miles away. We walk our dogs out here several times a week.

We followed the ridge trail and island trail. It was a great 4 mile hike in the snow. Trails were well-marked, benches throughout, so no need to bring chairs. Definitely bring your binoculars for birding!

A great place to tour thru for a couple of hours, or to stay for a few days. Fishing, tubing and camping plentiful. Very nice beach on main area. Be sure to go around to spots and get out of car to view nature.
