Always a great time in Ludington State Park.. Saw many deer and got really close. The beach is fantastic. Shop for deals in the camping store.

Been visiting and camping in this park for the past 10 consecutive years. While it is still one of the most (if not THE MOST) popular state park in Michigan...it is slipping back a bit. A couple of years ago weight from snow caved in the roof of the fantastic Nature/welcome center and it was never repaired or replaced? Did... More

The Ludington [Dunes] State Park is BIG, right on the dunes, and owns a few miles of dunes on the approach to the park. There is a sanitation station 1/2 to the park on the approach road. The sites have electricity [we used 30 amp]; no water, cable or sewer on site. Probably the biggest drawback is that the sites... More

This is by far the best campground for nature that we have ever visited. It has so many different options and activities. If you like to ride your bike, they have a bike path. If you like hiking they have tons of hiking trails. If you like to boat, they have a lake you can boat on. Basically they have... More

This park is a great value. We arrived on a Thursday and left Sunday afternoon and didn't get a chance to explore half the park. So much to do...float down the river, hike one of the any trails, hang out at one of the two beach and visit a lighthouse. Take your pick!! Can't wait to come back...despite the six... More

Had a great time with the family here. There are beaches you can access from the road that are wonderful .... but also, depending on the day, very crowded! The park itself offers bike and hike trails, a lighthouse tour, beautiful (but cold) water, and serenity. We didn't take the opportunity because we had kayaked the day before, but there... More

We had a great time here, the beaches along the edge of the road offer a relaxing day, free of crowds and really give you a feeling of having your own personal beach. Water is a bit chilly on Lake Michigan though. The park offers so many things, bike trails, lighthouse tours, beautiful water, relaxing tubing experience and great kayaking... More

OK, so maybe reserving a hike-in camp site after a 20 year camping hiatus might not have been the best decision of my summer. Still, park staff can make it so much easier for the hike-in campers by allowing the campers to utilize a drop off zone (cutting the hike to less than a mile). For the hike-in sites, the... More

The float down the river to lake Michigan is a MUST DO! They have beautiful white sand beaches that are kept immaculate! The camping showers / facilities are top notch. You can rent canoes or kayaks at the park beach and paddle Lost Lake which is also wonderful. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place.... More

I loved sitting on the beach sipping a glass of wine and eating some cheese and crackers. You can bring your own chairs and cooler, and it was a fantastic experience!
