The float down the river to lake Michigan is a MUST DO! They have beautiful white sand beaches that are kept immaculate! The camping showers / facilities are top notch. You can rent canoes or kayaks at the park beach and paddle Lost Lake which is also wonderful. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place.... More

I loved sitting on the beach sipping a glass of wine and eating some cheese and crackers. You can bring your own chairs and cooler, and it was a fantastic experience!

Great beaches, both on Lake Michigan and Lake Hamlin. You can walk to the Big Sable light house and tour inside it! Fantastic! Miles and miles of trails-all are different and beautiful. The Lost Lake trail is my all-time favorite. Something for everyone. Definitely a park you'll need more than 1 day to explore!

We not only enjoy the sand dunes, but the trails, the lighthouse path, the beaches! Favorite place for our family to visit each year!

From swimming in Lake Michigan to tubing the Sable River to climbing the dunes or fishing the river or lake, if you can't find something to do you, stay home.

Camping spots here are a bit close to one another, but the trails here are amazing. The park amenities are great. I recommend this park for families. Lots of adult staff to care for the place. It gets booked quickly though so book early. Lots of area things for kids and families to do. Lots of places for romantic walks.... More

We really enjoyed our day here. We rented a paddle boat for a couple of hours and tooled around the lake, ride bikes and spent some time relaxing on the beach. Great day!

I’ve visited the Ludington State Park before and have camped there. The spots are very close together but the location of the bath houses, trails, etc. can’t be beat. We went here for a hike on July 5. There was plenty of parking and nothing seemed terribly crowded. We had a lovely walk on the Island and Lost Lake trails.... More
