Being a Lansing native I've been around the town a couple times. This is one of the best places to go in Lansing. Preuss Pets is fun with its exotic animals to explore. Zoup is an amazing eatery to stop for lunch. Clems is perfect for all m fellow nerds out there or even board game enthusiasts. My only problem... More

Fun places to eat, shop, and plenty of activities! The popcorn place is the best! If you like antiques....this is the place to visit.

The Old Town Section of Lansing consists of Craft, Antique and Nostalgia shops, Interior Designers, and Restaurants. It is fun to walk and check out the stores. Be sure to look at the buildings. Not boxes like todays modern buildings. Also plan to eat while here. Checkout the river, river walk and fish ladder. You can have a great time.

Lansing is going down the steep slope, quickly. Its nice that a place like Old Town is up and coming though! Compared to the rest of Lansing, this is the only area to hang out in. A lot of great little shops and joints to eat at. Of course you can check out a Lugnuts baseball game also!

This area of Lansing, MI is becoming a hidden jewel in this city! There are the cutest little shops and new businesses popping up everywhere. They just hosted a Taste and Tour of Old Town that allowed you to tour the insides of some of the loft style apartments and town homes and taste several samples in a few of... More

I love Old Town. It has such a varied collection of art galleries and shops. I particularly enjoy the festivals they have - jazz festival, blues festival, art festivals - that bring such diverse collections of people together. And during the growing season there is even a farmer's market on the intersection of Grand River and Turner. Lots of restaurants,... More

While Old Town isn't as happening as other older Michigan cities, the small town feel makes one comfortable exploring the area. The store owners also reminded me of the open friendly manners of my small hometown. One can find art, music, food, eclectic goods and friendly faces. Worth the stop,if one finds a slower pace inviting.

I just moved to Lansing, and was kinda expecting something more from Old Town seeing other attractive Old historic districts like Montreal, Quebec, etc. Old Town Lansing isn't much. There are a few neat shops to visit, all of which have various antiques as well as some small art galleries. Asides from that shops are scattered, and architecture seems to... More

It was Octoberfest - big tent lots of loud (non-octoberfest ) music and beer. Some of the art shops were interesting but all-in-all - not much to "Old Town" And down town wasn't much either. For the Capital - Lansing doesn't have much going for it. I'd put it right up there with Flint.

Great old buildings and the scenic river pathway are just a couple of things that make this part of Lansing fun to explore and unique to the area.
