Have been many times on the trail. There are times it gets a little crowded in areas to bike ride, but most of the time fine to bike, run or walk. They are adding to the south. Can ride from MSU to Turner house and back for about 11 mi.

My husband and I bike this trail frequently. It's well maintained, but it floods often. It's great if you want to bike from the south side of Lansing to downtown, East Lansing or MSU, without riding in busy streets. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

This is a really enjoyable trail system that crisscrosses the river on scenic footbridges, passes thru Michigan State University campus, along the city waterfront, and ends up in Old Town, where there are loads of excellent eateries. But if there's been a hard rain, watch out: flash flooding can put sections of this path under water very quickly.

Lansing can be rather gritty and uninteresting on its surface streets, but get down to the river trail and you can walk or bike through all kinds of areas--beautiful tree-lined stretches, urban settings, parks, a zoo, a railway bridge. There's far more variety on this trail than you might realize, and it goes further than you think (or connects with... More

A great bike running or walking path that will get you there without having to deal with traffic, and you get great scenery on the way to boot.

We walked for an hour along the river on a day that threatened rain. No big showers though, so we enjoyed the walk. Several points of interest (state buildings, historical sites) along the way are available to enter from the area of the river trail. In general the scenery was pleasant and there were no big obstacles to prevent a... More

Took a break from the city even though it is in the heart of the city; felt as if we were in the country. Nice path along the river for a nice run/walk.

Loved the opportunity to be on Grand River ! The market located here looked like fun, though we walked too early.

This is such a hidden treasure! The mayor needs to advertise the heck out of it and Lansing would be overflowing with people visiting and living here. The only time parts of it are unusable is when there have been heavy rains. If bringing young children or pets, please keep them close, some bicyclists will ride through on it at... More
