As a CTA, I thought this experience was great. I enjoyed the architecture in the building and also the information that was stated. This is a free event if you have never been you should check it out.

The tour guides at the Michigan Capitol are knowledgeable and entertaining. They can tell you minute facts about this historic building that was constructed in 1872 and nearly torn down in the 1960s to build a new one. I enter the capitol building every single day as part of my job and love the restoration that was completed in the... More

The tour offered at the Capital is something everyone should do and make sure you strike up a conversation with the volunteer tour guides as they are great for stories about days gone by. You might even hear a few tales of capital skeletons in the closet if you get the right ones!!!

The State Capitol has bebe completely remodelled inside and they have made a wonderful job of it. It is well worth a visit to see this wonderful building where you can visit the House of Senate and House of Representatives.

no way I would waste my time. Its in a bad area, homeless people wonder around if there isn't a rally occurring. you have to pay to park, don't go to see the Christmas tree unless its at night. they make a big deal about bringing in this tree and it always looks a wreck. if you go at night-stay... Spouse, adult son, and I came here as son, who has visited most state capitals, and their capitols, wanted his parents to see a most interesting building he had visited before. We did a self-guided tour with the aid of a booklet, but guided tours are available. Free. Interior space is interesting for what it says about upper mid-western taste... More
