Dog Walking

I walked the dog around the two ponds over and over! Very beautiful land! Good for a nature walk to soothe the soul. Very lovely scenery.

We pulled the RV here to camp with friends. The campground is well maintained. We stayed two days and I and the chance to walk around the park. It is a beautiful park and the beach areas, playgrounds and walks around the ponds was amazing. The island with bridge was very romantic. We will definitely camp here again and would... More

Arrived late, after 1030pm due to Chicago traffic!! Came from Milwaukee to visit my daughter who is attending Western Michigan University. The campground host, Josh, called to see where we were and what time to expect us. Josh stayed late, kept the exit gate open for us and welcomed us into the campground. Excellent customer service!! Now for the campground--... More

I arrived by bicycle and tent camped overnight. The check-in was smooth and efficient, and I purchased firewood and had a nice campfire in the fire pit. The campground was clean and well maintained, but could use more shade trees. I slept well as the only train came by in late evening, but it was quite close. The facilities are... More

This campground pretty much has it all, and very clean. Through donations from various sources this park is able to offer great facilities at a cheap price. It has nice walking trails, small but nice beach with great change rooms and washrooms right there. Paved sites, full hookups and clean showers. Playgrounds at the campground and the beach for children.... More

The camping area was kept very clean The site were perhaps a bit small and there is no tree cover because the campground was probably built less than 10 years ago and the trees still need to grow. My kids loved the swimming, so we just dealt with the openness.

no trees was our issue. we camped and our septic hose would not reach where the hook up is placed, so we had to go out and purchase an extension. part of the adventure, i guess. there's no privacy at the campsites, so if you want some peace and space, find another campground. we would not return here.

Markin Glen, is a small park for camping and many other things to do, Swimming, with beach, walking trails and a playground for the kids. Very nice place for camping, very close to town but it seems far out, and not expensive at all.

First time here, guy at gate was very nice. It's $5.00 to get in. There's camping here, playgrounds and beach. There's also a pave hiking trail that goes all the way around the lake. It also has a bridge that goes out to an island, people were fishing of of this. There is a nice sandy beach, and kids where... More
