Went there for work and not expecting anything, but I also wasn't doubting anything. I'm married to a MIAD alumni, so I have an expert in the house. The staff are nothing short of passionate about what they do. That alone made it a great experience. I am not a fan of art in general, but I am a fan... More

We were unable to go into the main part of the art area as we didn't have the time. However we did stop at the Gift Shoppe, and wow did it have very interesting items and lots to choose from being how small it is. Definitely worth a stop!

The KIA is super boring and there isnt much to do or see. I would only go if it is free and you already happen to be downtown and have 15 minutes to kill.

Very reasonable price only $5 to get in and enjoy all the beautiful Art. They had some very old painting that were very interesting. I would take company here from out of town. Not really for young children.

A very quaint art museum located near downtown Kalamazoo MI. There are multiple levels that can easily be viewed within a few hours. My wife and I brought our nephew who is a freshman at Western Michigan University, he had a wonderful time and shared interesting aspects form a college students point of view. Overall this is a great place... More

We always enjoy the special exhibits along with the permanent exhibits. They have a Chuhuly in the entrance, which I love. Also a great permanent collection of Tiffany art glass and jewelry.

Amazing and astounding is this exhibit. I very rarely exclaim "Wow!" at exhibits, but I did over and over for this one.

I love exploring the area I live in and the first time I went to the Kalamazoo Institute of the Arts I was shocked and amazed. What an amazingly, wonderful find so close to home. I have taken both family and friends here and they too have been impressed with all of the art collections that are there. An absolute... More

easy to find and the art was of very good quality- they had a visiting show using wire mesh screening that was fantastic and unlike anything I've seen.
