Golfed at Silverstone on the stay and play package. Beautiful course. Will go back next year. Stayed at Pine Mt. Ski resort. Very friendly. Very old but knew that ahead of time.

The greens on this course have fallen way off this year. Normally it is close to worth the price, however, this year it is no more worth than any mediocre course in the UP. If I were a member, I would be pretty ticked. If I had to pay to play there, I would not.

Played this past Sunday, and was disappointed to be told that many of the greens had water damage, etc.. From weather they have had. And the greens were bad., in need of repair. Playing conditions for the rest of course were good. They still charged my group of 7 players, $99 each, and missed an opportunity to build some goodwill,... More

Timber Stone. A very worth while golf course. Very challenging from the tips, but If you play it at 6000 yards or less it plays ok, depending upon your skill level. Holes number 8 and 17 are par 3's that are stunning, dropping down several feet with beautiful views. If you live in the Midwest, and love golf, it is... More

This track is visually beautiful. Fairways are lined by heavy forest; elevation changes allow for some great views. The short grass is manicured very well and the rough is cut to a fair thickness. Accuracy is demanded from almost every shot. Could be a tough/long round for 20+ hdcps. The one negative: Some issues with green health. Some brown, dead... More

Can't say more than it is a 5 star course in God's country. Enjoy the links, the clubhouse and the area.

I brought some friends up from Wisconsin and we golfed Timberstone in July. Its a beautiful golf course, very playable yet still challenging. We all had a remarkable time, the staff was wonderful. Before we left, we stopped at Famers for a bite to eat, the food we had was great and also received spectacular service there as well. Defiantly... More

This course is outstanding!!!!! It is beautiful, nestled in the woods - we even saw a deer and fawn! It has the perfect name - lots of trees and rocks. It is challenging but not impossible. I will say the designer had no sense of humor when he placed the sandtraps by the greens though. The clubhouse is very nice.... More

Played Timberstone on one of the hottest days of the year in the U.P. - it was worth it. The clubhouse staff (mostly college-age kids) were more than hospitable and the course itself was a wonderful test of golf. Each hole has character beyond just a northern Michigan tree lined course... thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would play it again... More
