TimberStone Golf Course at Pine Mountain Resort is a sleeping beauty U.P. North.  It is located in the city of Iron Mountain, in a heavily wooded area. The TimberStone Golf Course's natural beauty includes dense treelined fairways, large deposits of iron ore and granite boulders, tranquil lakes, wetlands teeming with deer and other wildlife, and bent grass fairways and greens. ... Excellent course, superb conditioning, great staff. Played Oct. 1st, 2015 and the entire complex was immaculate. I don't think I have played a course with greens fees under $100/round in that kind of shape. The layout/design is challenging and requires accuracy tee to green. So many memorable holes, with the feeling of secluded privacy on most. View on #17 tee... More

Challenging course. Well maintained. Tight fairways with many trees. Hole 17 has great views of countryside. Would play here again, one of the best courses in Midwest.

Played the more economical twilight rate and teed off at 7 p.m. and still had plenty of light when I finished. Had an incredible experience on this course. I've played courses all over the country and would put this up there with any of them. Pristine fairway conditions. I felt guilty swinging a club on them. A very challenging and... More

This is a great track through the rolling mountains of Pine Mountain Resort. this course is a narrower track through the woods that is breathtaking and beautiful to play. They do not have a yardage book. So take close look at the yardage markers in the center of the fairway. Some holes have some blind shots and others have a... More

Timberstone is well taken care of. Course is awesome. Price is a little steep for a local golf course. View from the top in the fall is hard to beat.

Golfed at Silverstone on the stay and play package. Beautiful course. Will go back next year. Stayed at Pine Mt. Ski resort. Very friendly. Very old but knew that ahead of time.

The greens on this course have fallen way off this year. Normally it is close to worth the price, however, this year it is no more worth than any mediocre course in the UP. If I were a member, I would be pretty ticked. If I had to pay to play there, I would not.
