We stayed in the South Interlochen Campground which has more hills and uneven campsites. This campground is closer to Duck lake. A fair mix of tent campers and RV's which was fine. We drove over to the North Campground and those sites, while level are very tight. Not our style, we have a pop up not an RV but we... More

This is a beautiful State Park. The lake views are incredible. Get up and watch the sunrise, it is gorgeous. There were tons of birds out chirping about in the morning. The fire pits are great. Family and pet friendly. The restrooms and shower house were a little outdated, only a couple shower stalls so it would likely be a... More

We stayed in a cabin-#395 with a very nice view of Duck Lake. The cabin has two rooms (double bed), fridge, microwave, coffee pot and futon. The only bummer is the top bunks do not have a railing, so you can easily roll over and fall out. Plus a husband and wife have to sleep in separate bunks, unless you... More

Very nice state park on Duck Lake. Has a swimming area but be careful for swimmers itch...there is a swimmers itch guard you can use or towel after leaving water. Also has a nice park store right by the swimming area. This park is large and is nice for biking, walking and has a nice nature trail. Across the street... More

We were in site #399, we have a 30ft travel trailer. We have 6 year old twins and a 3 year old. Pros - sight large and easy to get in - own private beach and could swim at the site - Bonus - Interlochen Arts Academy right across the street; our family went 2 nights and enjoyed the experience... I was a little skeptical driving through the narrow camp road at first with our 27' travel trailer. But once we got to our site we had ample room to maneuver around. We were in the south campground which had a lot more trees and was hilly, the north campground had some good trees but is flat so very easy... More

We had a wonderful stay at the rustic side of the park. The other side was crowded and full. The sites were so close together, I would not be interested in that type of camping. The rustic side, however, has large sites with privacy. There are only porta-potty type facilities. They smelled at times but not terribly. Our family had... More

We were at site #481 and the electrical box was an extremely long distance from the camping pad. The camp host had a spare so we borrowed theirs until they had to leave. Had to buy another cord. The restroom/showers on the west side of this part of the campground had tepid water at best anytime of the day. Quiet... More

Camped for a week and really enjoyed it. If you have sports enthusiasts, lot 187 and nearby sites are nice because you're close to basketball & volleyball courts and softball field (great for kickball) and also have privacy because these lots have woods behind them and not other campers. This loop also has newer/nicer bathroom facilities than the other loop... More
