We stayed at Interlochen State Park in early October 2015. it was our first stay at this park and thought it was very nice. it is right across from the music camp /College. I think that it could be quite busy during the summer months as they have several concerts throughout the year. We enjoyed the surrounding area, Traverse City... More

I stayed at the campground on the west side of the park. Great that the campsites are elevated high above the amazing Lake, with stairs to go down to watch the sunset.

Very nice place. It was too cold to swim so we didn't have to worry about getting swimmers itch, which there were warnings about. Staff was very nice. Bathrooms and showers clean. We had a spot at the end of a drive and it was almost secluded feeling. And the fact that it was a cool weekday so it wasn't... More

We stayed in the South Interlochen Campground which has more hills and uneven campsites. This campground is closer to Duck lake. A fair mix of tent campers and RV's which was fine. We drove over to the North Campground and those sites, while level are very tight. Not our style, we have a pop up not an RV but we... More

This is a beautiful State Park. The lake views are incredible. Get up and watch the sunrise, it is gorgeous. There were tons of birds out chirping about in the morning. The fire pits are great. Family and pet friendly. The restrooms and shower house were a little outdated, only a couple shower stalls so it would likely be a... More

We stayed in a cabin-#395 with a very nice view of Duck Lake. The cabin has two rooms (double bed), fridge, microwave, coffee pot and futon. The only bummer is the top bunks do not have a railing, so you can easily roll over and fall out. Plus a husband and wife have to sleep in separate bunks, unless you... More

Very nice state park on Duck Lake. Has a swimming area but be careful for swimmers itch...there is a swimmers itch guard you can use or towel after leaving water. Also has a nice park store right by the swimming area. This park is large and is nice for biking, walking and has a nice nature trail. Across the street... More

We were in site #399, we have a 30ft travel trailer. We have 6 year old twins and a 3 year old. Pros - sight large and easy to get in - own private beach and could swim at the site - Bonus - Interlochen Arts Academy right across the street; our family went 2 nights and enjoyed the experience...
