Enjoyed the Nutcracker in December 2015. It was on my to do list and I was very happy with the performance.

Interlochen Center for the Arts is truly a gem in the Traverse City area. Their Summer program is also outstanding with many top name performers and groups.

Our daughter attended summer camp last year. Not only did she grow as a musician but she matured as an individual. She became much more confident, independent and assertive. We're thrilled that she had both an enjoyable and growing experience.

I've visited for Summer concerts, Winter ballets, indoor orchestra performances, and a high school graduation. The summer setting is spectacular and one-of-a-kind. The summer selection is wide. The indoor auditorium is wonderful and easily accessible. Parking is a downfall year round though.

We attended the free Sunday afternoon organ concert, consisting of a dozen high school students. The director said they had studied organ anywhere between weeks and years. Their selections were so well played that it was impossible to tell which was which! Other Sunday afternoon organ concerts are from professional organists from around the U.S. That evening we purchased tickets... More

My teenage actress daughter auditioned for and attended the summer acting camp this year. I knew nothing about Interlochen beforehand. Her hometown high school drama teacher on the East Coast had strongly recommended it. The place is fantastic, in a gorgeous setting, with extraordinary, state-of-the-art venues, more than 10 performance spaces, and thousands of talented students working hard to learn... More

A beautiful outdoor amphatheather with a view of Green Lake. A wonderful venue to see a performance. Easy parking, reasonable site lines nicely covered for inclement weather. The major problem relates to late arrivals. The ushers stand in the middle of the walkway, blocking the view of the stage, while studying the late patrons tickets for minutes at a time.... More

I attended the arts camp this past summer, and let me just say this- It's an experience you'll never want to forget. The concerts, the attractive scenery, the people you meet... The possibilities for a good time are endless. I highly suggest sending your child or children t the camp at some point :)

Last month we went to Interlocken to see Boz Scaggs and it was great. The parking was free, the sound was good, and the venue was professional. They don't serve any liquor onsite so people were tailgating before heading in and in a courtyard just outside the entrance to the seating area they had places to buy coffee, soft serve... More

The beauty of location and creative expressions, which abound, make this an extraordinary place to visit and enjoy the arts. The summer camp requires auditioning for acceptance and there are gifted youth from the U.S., and many other countries, who perform or display their creative work at the end of the camp.
