Big Bear was a lot of fun. We played golf and laughed a lot due to water hazards and dads bad luck. Did the 1 1/2 hour tube trip. Water was very refreshing (aka cold)! Worth... read more

We had a great time rafting as a family of 4! 7/9 yr old children and parents. Yes, there are LOTS of trees in the river. We had a blast working as a team to get around them. River does all the work if you don't mind ducking for trees;) most places the water is very shallow. Perfect for kids!... More

We did a three hour catarmaran jaunt down the river. We had never done anything like this before, and made that clear to the gal we checked in and signed up with. She made a comment that this would be a difficult section of the river, but that we'd do fine as long as we worked together. She didn't ask... More

In July, we went kayaking on the Sturgeon River using Big Bear Adventures as our outfitter. We took the 3 1/2 hour trip. The staff and equipment at Big Bear were top quality. The section of the river we paddled has an 80 % "tip over" rate, as it rapidly drops 14' per mile, and has constant turns on the... More

Went for round of mini golf with our two young sons. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do the ropes course also so will have to do it next time. Lots of activities to do with this company (golf, ropes, tubing, etc.) so everyone should be happy.

I don't know where to begin. I took my nine year old son there for his first tubing experience. From the get go it was a goat rodeo. I had to register at one place, go to another to pay then move my car than go back and get life jackets. We got jam packed in a van to drive... More

This was the worst experience I ever had. First, if you do the shorter time length for the tubes, be prepared to get whisked away by the current. Where they drop you off is around a curve and is a really fast part. It does not give you time to get used to the whole tubing thing. Also, we went... More

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time on the river. A timely review would have been more beneficial to our company. We have many tubers go out every day all summer and we diligently tell all our customers at least three times about our river being the fastest moving river in the Lower Peninsula. We... More

My family (hubby, myself and 2 teenagers) had been here 3 years ago. We have are own kayaks so they transported them for us for a very reasonable cost! The bus drivers have ALWAYS been very friendly and informative. (they really seem to enjoy what they do) I learned the hard way that when they say the river is "6... More

My boyfriend, my boyfriend's dad, my boyfriend's dad's fiancé, and I went on the Sturgeon River with one of their rafts. We did a one hour raft tour. When you do the one hour raft trip, you go down a section on the river that is very calm. It is nothing like whitewater rafting. We struggled a little bit at... More
