Is nice place to be, I would suggest visiting in Tulips festival time. you would really enjoy all the colors of Tulip fields.

It was not crowded at all when I arrived. I learned quite a bit from the De Zwaan Windmill tour and from the Dutch dancers providing information on their costumes. I had hoped that they would have some books so that I could read up on some of what was discussed. As it was, I enjoyed the little gift shop.... More

Went with my niece and she really enjoyed the windmill tour and hearing the history and how it worked. The grounds and flowers were very pretty and the whole places smelled incredible.

This is a unique cultural adventure, yet close to home. We went on a short family weekend vacation and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A must see!

We arrived at 5:15 pm, 15 mins after they had stopped selling tickets, but was open until 6:00. Even though we were willing to pay full price admission to just take pictures, they would not allow us entrance. Traveled over 10 hours to visit, very disappointed..

Worthwhile? Hard to say. The gardens were nice to walk through, the "Village" rather hokey, but the tour of the working windmill and pleasant guides made the $8 per person admission cost worthwhile. As a side note, there were several uber friendly horses on the property that added to my pleasure. We did not find it to provide us with... More

The guided tour through the windmill which was brought from Holland was very informative and interesting. The tour requires multiple flights of stairs. (a video tour is available for those who are unable to climb stairs). Beyond that and viewing (and listening) to the band organ, there was little else to occupy your time.

We believe this is a lovely little park and would be a great place to enjoy a Spring Day picnic or a book if you are lucky enough to show up on a day that has few people around. The grounds and windmill are very easy on the eyes and it is just not something you get to see everyday... More

We enjoyed Windmill Island. We followed the the route that was on the map, we were there early, no waiting. We watched the the movie, then went to the Organ. It was Fasinating! Watch the backside when it is running, the front side you can look at when the music stops. Then onto the Windmill, The Main Event! Really Cool!... More
