An Interesting Tourist Attraction

We enjoyed looking at the large variety of tulips. It was interesting to see a the windmill in operation, to learn about the history and to see the Miller at work.

WOW!! What beauty!! Visited here with a friend in May 2012 during the Tulip Festival and it is an incredible experience to see about a million tulips in front of the windmill. During this time of year, even on weekdays, there will be a lot of people there. You will get people in most all pictures of the De Zaan... More

If you're in the great summer city of Holland, located on the shores of Lake Michigan (about a three hour drive from Chicago), you might want to take a small detour from all your fun in the sun and check out a real, functioning and still grinding flour, wind mill! It is called the De Zwann, which in Dutch means... More

This is a cute little bit of history tucked away in Holland. Young girls gave an educational tour & performed a Danish dance. Cute small shops too.

Great place to visit.Learn how a windmill works and buy crafts. Beautiful view while in the windmill. Plenty of crafts and their making. Also reasonable prices for souvenirs. During tulip time lots of nice flowers

My family went here for a nice day during the Tulip Festival in 2015. It interesting to tour the working windmill and to see the beautiful tulips. My only issue is that I expected a field of tulips that was at least 10 times larger than what was there. However, I guess I had unrealistic expectations and what was there... More

Place is closed until April 2016 for maintenance. It is possible to walk around the park, the windmill, but there is no service or attraction. Anyway, it is a beautiful place and if you are in Holland-MI by this time, stop by and take a quick walk for sure.

Really busy during the Tulip Festival in May, but well worth the inconvenience of the crowds. Nice walk out to the Island, just could use a little safer walking path due to to all the vehicle traffic. You really feel like you are out of the city when you wander around here.

The Dutch thing, cute but corny with traditional Dutch Dancing ( only done in the US.) Gardens are very pretty and the windmill tour is interesting.

very close to downtown Holland, this park is a beautiful natural area with gorgeous gardens and the only authentic Dutch windmill in the USA! This is a great place for a relaxing stroll, an exercise walk, a play stop for the kids, and or a picnic. From April thru September the gardens are stunning!
