The Windmill is an iconic attraction, and the whole Windmill Gardens park is not to be missed! The organ wagon is fascinating, and the flowers are beautiful.

Maggie, our tour guide at the Windmill was so knowledgeable and entertaining....well worth hanging after the tour for the folk dancing. Beautiful gardens....wasn't in the market to purchase anything, so didn't shop. A great time!

This is a fully functional, working windmill. For that reason alone, it is worth seeing. We enjoyed the quaint village and the windmill cookies are extremely delicious. They are a nice present to take home. Everywhere you look, there is beauty. The gardens are well maintained and the whole village makes you feel like you have gone back in time.... More

We saw windmills in the Netherlands last year but felt the information we learned at the Windmill Island was superior. The presentation was great. The music from the Amsterdam street organ was interesting. Most staff are dressed in realistic costumes. We enjoyed walking in the gardens and looking at the beautiful flowers in the gardens. The gift shop contain everything... More

We've been to The Netherlands many times. Here is an authentic taste of The NL in America. During your spring visit you will walk among the tulips blooming in fields, along the sidewalks and other lovely displays. You will find the only authentic working Dutch windmill in America, brought over piece by piece from The NL. We toured the windmill,... More

Visiting family in Holland and looking for something to do , I decided to check this out. I love to plant ,so I really enjoyed the variety of displays of different flowers. There are a couple of different exhibits that are brief and simple somewhat interesting. We learned some facts about the Dutch and their way of life. They had... More

We thought the WIndmill tour was quite informative and our tour guide was very helpful in answering all questions. The rest of the area was just ok. An area you can walk through in 10 minutes. Maybe at other times of the year, there is more to see, but we just found the place to be rather boring and there... More

Interesting tour of the inside windmill and history. A few play areas for the kids and pricey clogs and fudge.

Some interesting features with the windmill but overall a little pricey for what is there.Other than the windmill not much to see and overpriced shops.

We happened upon Windmill Island on a trip north up the lake side. Stopped and got a nice tour of the Windmill, found very informative information in several locations and enjoyed the gift shop. It was a beautiful day, not crowded, and very relaxing.
