It was big, the sand was nice to make castles with, there was ample swings to let the kids enjoy. We went there in September, so don't know what it would be like in hot summer days.

Hello, Holland State Park charges a fee, just as other State Parks do in Michigan. We went to watch the sunset and get some photos of the lighthouse in the evening. All in, worth the $11 entry ?? your decision. The fee is full charge regardless of arrival time. Plan to spend the day, picnic, enjoy the sun and end... More

The sand was almost as good as the Gulf, the water was not! Don't forget some cash for the entrance fee and for snacks.

We stopped here just killing time before dutch village opened. The beach was clean and there was plenty of parking. There is a pier that goes about 100ft into the water. It was raining, but we were lucky enough to see a double rainbow as well as quite large waves!

Very nice state park on the lake shore (there's an entrance fee per car) with a great view of the landscape and an up-close view of Big Red lighthouse.

Beautiful beach, great breeze. Some shelter and vending. Paved paths, great parking. Picnic area. Right across the Chanel from the Big Red House. Lots of beautiful boats close by, relaxing. Easy to locate. State park sticker or plate required.

We were there during a low time so there were no crowds which made for a nice walk. We enjoyed the views and had a nice time strolling along the beach. The sand was pretty filthy with cigarette butts and trash but they were cleaning it while we were there.

The beach is beautiful. Very clean and not too big. Great for families and friends. Nice volleyball area and lots of BBQs, so bring so grillin' goods. If not, the concessions are excellent. Good grilled hot dogs with all the fixin's!!!

We really enjoyed this beach. There is a changing area separate from the bathrooms. This area has places to rinse your feet of sand but no showers. Across from the changing area is a small concession stand with various sundries for sale as well in case you forgot something or needed a souvenir. There seemed to be several nice, covered... More
