I was lucky to have been there for the guided tour. They have it on the weekends over the holidays!! Patty, the woman who initiated the restoration and continues to restore the mansion and its grounds has so many interesting stories that aren't in the book. The Christmas decorations give it a very homey touch. It is mostly kept up... More

Mr. Felt was an incredible man. The history of the Felt family and the mansion was the highlight of our trip. Do not skip the video introduction and the Felt home movies.

I've been to the felt mansion many times. It's a beautiful place and a great venue for a wedding! My good friend just got married here last month and it was gorgeous. The staff was friendly for the most part, too. You can also walk around and play disc golf and walk the trails to Lake Michigan. I highly recommend... More

A gem of a find. Never found this before even though we've been in the ares. A beautiful mansion and grounds. Only thing that could make it better is regular tours. Maybe they don't advertise enough so that could bring more interest.

I read about the Felt Mansion and Estate on their webpage and was immediately intrigued by the history and preservation efforts. We took advantage of a beautiful summer day to explore the mansion and estate and then took the trail through the forest to the beach and Lake Michigan. The mansion and grounds are really beautiful. Elegant, but casually so.... More

My father took me along to the auction sale when the Felt family auctioned the contents of this beautiful mansion. Everything was way beyond belief for a kid who's dad was a plumber. Dad bought a lot of copper pipe, fittings and stuff like that. He also bought a slab of green Carcarra marble which he had cut to put... More

We attended a wedding reception here and were able to tour the building. Beautiful historic mansion. The staff did a wonderful job catering the event. A very nice place to stay and/or hold an event.

Such a beautiful place to hold events!!! A sight that truly takes your breath away. Hidden from me for years!! Off the routine trails. Just a turn off the main road into a hidden fantasy!!! The Drum Circle group meets there and it is fun to participate in. Many places to explore and behold the beauty in. A magnificent place... More

It was raining today and the Felt Mansion was a nice place to spend an hour or so. Felt made his money by inventing a machine that adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides. He also planted lots of trees and other plants to keep the sand from shifting on his estate. Interesting visit.
