My first visit here was on the occasion of the opening of the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum, which was only one of many events happening here. We enjoyed touring through the buildings and specialty museums dedicated to a wide variety of cars and their history. There has been much research done to inform the casual visitor as well as... This was my second visit to the Gilmore Car Museum, the first having occurred approximately eight years ago, and has this property changed. Several buildings and additional cars and sections have been added, making it an upscale museum property that takes visitors back in time on a casual visit over a couple of relaxing hours of history. What a joy... More

My twelve year old Grandson, while impressed with all the cars, was particularly impressed with the craftsman of the automobiles. For young people a visit there creates conversation that is a history lesson in itself.

We enjoyed our trip here. If you love cars this is the place for you. Many years and cars here. There is an old time diner here with just hot dogs and a few salads. The cars are in barn like buildings. I heard they change them out once or twice a year to change things up.

If you've found out about this place (they don't seem to do much advertising) and have found your way to this review page then by all means plan your trip. Here are my suggestions for your visit: - Go on a beautiful day. The museum is comprised of an entire campus of display buildings, each one a delight. You'll enjoy... More

This is a place to visit, not only is the country side beautiful, the Museum is ONE of a kind! It is a treat to see the cars and the country surrounding. You can walk (or ride) along the streets from one barn to another. See cars and history, arranged in a quiet country setting. Be sure to wear your... More

Today was our second visit to the Gilmore, and it keeps getting better and better. The special hot rod exhibit was great, as there are some very famous cars there. But, t hat said, their collection is vast; there are separate buildings with different themes, either by manufacturer or subject. There is even a collection of pedal cars and a... More

The worst thing about this museum is that I did not plan enough time to see everything. There are so many cars and artifacts to see that you really need to plan a minimum of 4 hours if you like like to read the history of each vehicle. The unique thing about this museum compared to others is that with... More

The Gilmore Car Museum has a unique way of laying out the place. Instead of having a bunch of cars stuffed into a building, they are displayed in multiple buildings spread out over 90 acres of old farmland. Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Pierce-Arrows, Duesenbergs, Hudsons and the list goes on. This museum seems to have them all, you want to make sure... More

The exhibit here is HUGE! Barn after barn of automotive classics. A room devoted to Cadillacs. A double decker bus, Checker Cabs (built in Kalamazoo), Rolls Royce and muscle cars including a Delorean. Worth the admission and lots of history.
