Not only is the place a great car museum, it is also a great event center. We had a work function at this place and it really helped us get the proper focus. The cars are beautiful and the whole property is just great.

I am an old car nut (have owned Model A and T cars for years). But this museum puts them all to shame. MUCH BETTER than the Henry Ford in Detroit. If you want to see classic cars, theme rooms, etc. This one cannot be missed. The Model A museum is the best. I wish they had a Model T... More

The Gilmore Car Museum is really about seven car museums bundled into one. You can easily spend a day here looking at the cars so it's a good thing there's also an excellent '50s style diner on the premises.

I have lived in Michigan for most of my life and yes, I had heard about the Gilmore Car Museum, but thought nothing could compare to the Henry Ford Museum collection of vehicles. Imagine my surprise on entering the grounds of the Gilmore Car Museum to find a layout similar to Greenfield Village with various buildings about a village green... More

First you should read the review entitled "The World Class Car Museum of West Michigan" because it is accurate and very well written. I will simply add that on weekends often there are different car clubs having meets there, the German cars will be on display one day and perhaps British cars then next. I was there for both the... Established in the early 1960s by former Upjohn Pharmaceutical CEO Donald Gilmore, this rural country museum is open year round n Hickory Corners, Michigan near Gull Lake. Over the past fifty years the Gilmore Museum has developed into one of the foremost professional car collections in the United States. Beginning with less than a dozen cars in the early 1960s... This by far is one museum to see in the state of Michigan. The history and cars are amazing. The grounds are also neatly clipped and you can almost eat on the floors in the "garages" themselves. You really have to go there at least 1/2 dozen times to see it all. And the diner car they have there? Great... More

A bunch of us went a few years back on motorcycles. They had an antique motorcycle display one weekend. Not sure how often they change events, but there's usually something in addition to the hundreds of antique automobiles that they house in HUGE beautiful barns. A definite must see for the car enthusiast. They even have the back seat from... More

Visited in April, 2015. As a girl, I'm not a car lover but my husband enjoyed it. very clean, well laid out but be aware there is lots of walking. I enjoyed the hood ornament collection best. very interesting. I would not recommend children as everything is hands-off as it should be, but would recommend it for adults especially nice... More
