There are so many reasons to go to the Gilmore. Just going for the architecture would be enough. As I like really old cars this place was a dream come true for me. Building after building of some of the best cars you have never heard of was exciting. The Model A Museum part was great too. If you like... More

The museum is in a rural area about 30-40 mins. north of Kalamazoo and we went during the Fall as the trees were very colorful. If your looking for a day trip from the Chicago area during Fall foliage, it can't be beat. Bring a picnic lunch!

I was advised by a friend who like me is a Car Lover like me about this museum located in the country outside of Kalamazoo, MI The museum is a gem, the collection of automobiles is an excellent cross section of American Automotive History, the displays are informative, and the staff persons personable and enjoy discussing automobiles. I loved the... More

First Class wonderful car museum. We were totally blown away at how great this place & the cars were. We visited in Sept. It's open year-round, but winter might be cold to tour all the barns. There is a central new heated indoor complex; and other outlying barns. Not for young children; the cars are pristine & untouchable. One bldg... More

I have been to many classic automobile museums. The Gilmore ranks with the best. Located in Hickory Corners, MI, near Kalamazoo, it is in the middle of the country. The drive is well worth the trip. The museum has over 300 automobiles on exhibit ranging from the first electric buggies to some of the finest cars of the fifties and... More

I happened to "find" this car museum on line, and I was not sure what we would find when we got there. The explanation and the pictures of the museum were exactly what you saw when you got there. The landscaped grounds are beautiful, and the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. The big red and white "barns" that house the... More

We've lived 10 minutes from here for the past 39 years, but never went until recently, when we had out of town guests and needed an "outing." What an absolutely fabulous place! None of us are car freaks, but we all appreciate history, and enjoyed the exhibits immensely! Everything VERY well done. We were watching the Ken Burns Roosevelt special... More

If you love vintage cars you MUST go here. We were overwhelmed with the number and variety of antique cars. The displays were fun and educational and well thought out. The grounds were beautiful the buildings and grounds are clean. We spent 4+ hours here . . . would definitely come back - it was a great day.

Have not been to this attraction in over 10 yr. What a wonderful surprise! They have added so many cars and displays and all done in such an interesting tasteful way. The grounds are beautiful, kept to perfection. The diner is a fun place, authentic, and the waitresses can actually slide the dishes across the countertops in the "old fashioned... More

A gorgeous place to visit to see antique cars and other vintage items in beautiful buildings. No smelly areas, like a lot of other museums are. The grounds are massive with well kept trees and plantings. You can easily stroll for hours to enjoy the vehicles with the unique histories behind them. There is no other place like this, so... More
