Lots of fun on The Heather. Roomy fairways, enough challenge for a 14 HNDCP without being too tough. It was in great shape. Greens fee was $108. Didn't feel ripped off, especially since range balls were included. Range is the bottom of a ski run. by the way, with most shots traveling up hill.

I was told this was the first course at Boyne. I can't say enough about it. Challenging layout with 5 tee boxes to match your skills. Go ahead and play the tips, you will move forward every day. Staff is excellent. Love the place.

Of all their courses, Heather is most "user friendly". It's difficult but fair. Beautiful course, outstanding greens, some significant challenges, and is a course that rewards good shots. It is unique in the fact that golfers of all skill levels will like it equally.

This is a terrific course, with lovely views of the surrounding hills from every hole and well thought out holes, all immaculately groomed. It's an older style course. Heavily bunkered, smaller, slightly elevated greens and narrow tree-lined fairways. A classic Trent Jones layout that rewards "target" golf. I played from the forward men's tees and had a most enjoyable round.

Excellent golf course, food and lodging! This golf course was just one out of nine championship courses in our unlimited golf package. All the Boyne courses are exceptional and the golf package is the best deal available.

The Heather course at Boyne Highlands was designed by Robert Trent Jones ... enough said ... I had the pleasure to meet and have lunch with him in Fort Lauderdale back in 1989 ... for certain one of the finest course designers ever. The course has a 74.0 rating from the Black tees with a 131 slope ... from the... More

I am only a decent golfer. At 57 years old I still cannot straighten out my slice with any certainty. Finally but a new driver that can compensate. Usually can hit 240 sometimes 260. First time at Heathers I read description of #15 which requires a towering long drive over the trees to take a shortcut on the dogleg left.... More

We played the Heather Golf Course a couple of days after the 95th Annual Michigan Amateur Championships. This was good and bad. The good: The golf course was in pristine condition, and the sand in the bunkers was “tour sand”, which actually had a crisper feel on contact, and allowed for better backspin. The bad: The rough hadn’t been cut,... More
