Our family loves to ski at Nubs Nob. The kids had 3 terrific instructors and were skiers after the lessons. The runs are nice and not crowded at all. The lodge is nice and has everything you need.

Nub's Nob is an outstanding ski resort very popular with the locals and families. Not much lodging but there is plenty around. Better snow and lifts than across the street!

We ski Nubs every year - usually at New Year's and occasionally in late winter. So many runs and different areas makes this ski area seem much bigger for a Midwest ski destination. They do a great job at keeping the slopes groomed on busy holiday times. The free beginner chair lift is on the bunny hill is great for... More

Nubs shares the primary strengths and limitations of skiing northern lower peninsula Michigan -- consistently good snow, but minimal vertical drop and lack of terrain. Preferred by locals, Nubs is family operated and focused on skiing. If you are looking for a resort, you might be happier Boyne Highlands across the valley. But if you are looking for more great... Nub's Nob... Such wonderful memories associated with this great ski resort. If you are from Northern Michigan, Nub's is where you ski... My father was a good friend of both Nub's and Dori.. and was instrumental in introducing "snow making" to the resort many many years ago. The resort has expanded its terrain and has some of the best skiing... More

We visited Nub's Nob over this past winter for a 3 day ski break with 2 kids (ages 5 and 7) and here are some highlights: -Great runs for all levels, especially the beginner area. It's nice and wide for easy turns and setup so that it doesn't get too crowded. -Nice green and blue runs to build your skills... More

Nubs could even be the Best in the Midwest!!! Very friendly family atmosphere here. This is not a "party spot" for those of you inclined to be party animals. Nubs has the Best snowmaking crew in Michigan. Everyone is friendly here. The cafeteria has very good food at reasonable prices for a ski hill (less then what you pay across... More

I have to say that amongst all the resorts in Michigan, Nub's Nob probably has the best skiing (although not the highest vertical). Great variety of trails, beautiful views from the top of the Pintail Peak, and friendly staff. Compared to the two Boyne resorts in the area, the big advantage (for us) of Nub's Nob is that there is... More

Have been skiing Nubs Nob since 1972. Always friendly folks and they do a fantastic job making snow and grooming. Food is above average but expensive (as most ski resorts).

Just wish it was not so costly, that is the only downfall. My daughters love it, I have snowboarded Nubs for more than 20 years. I will probably ride here until I physically cannot do it anymore but the prices went up and that is rough for a family. I do like that they offer a beginner chair for free... More
