I always have so much fun shopping at the Polish Art Center! They have everything Polish you could imagine - from language, geneology, and travel books, to food & candies, to beautiful amber jewelry, and everything in between! They have a wonderful assortment of Boleslawiec pottery with so many beautiful pieces to choose from. They also have Polish folk art... More

Located in Hamtramck, a city that sits within the city of Detroit, is this wonderful store filled with Polish goodies. I had gone here to pick up a few gifts. It was easy to find since it's located on one of the cities main streets. The store is much larger than it appears from the outside and every inch was... More

This store is so colorful it heightens the senses as soon as you walk through the store! It is very organized. The people working there are very friendly. You can't walk out without finding SOMETHING you NEED!

With grandparents from Poland ,my Mother spoke often and fondly of her aunts that lived in Hamtramck. Entering the Polish Art Center, it felt like Mom was with us again. There is such a large variety of Polish folk art for sale. The staff were extremely helpful and informative. The Polish Art Center is like a treasure chest of all... More

Always incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Polish easter eggs are a difficult skill to master and the ladies in the Art Center have much patience and are very skilled. They offer classes, but when you are form out of town they will take the time to do some training on the spot. The Polish artifacts they have are authentic and... More

I've been going here since I was a kid, and this place keeps expanding! I love the variety of items (I bought a Polish saint card, a Pope John Paul ii medal and cross and a Polska Zippo-style lighter) and the friendliness of the staff. My only complaint lies with the prices, which are a little high. It's a favorite... More

The Polish Art Center really isn't an art center. It is a store that sells Polish things. I suppose the staff is knowledgeable but the purpose of the shop is to sell you stuff not to educate. We expected more.

Spent 2 hours here (of relevance for how long to feed the parking meter), and thoroughly enjoyed it all. From CDs to handscribed eggs to amber jewelry to pottery, dolls, papercut pictures, this place has everything Polish, all nicely arranged and lovingly explained if you ask the owners and their daughters.

Attended a Pisanki (Polish/Ukrainian) egg decorating class at the center Saturday. What an excellent learning experience in a casual atmosphere. Our family group (adults/teen) shared the class with another group of grade school children with their parents. The class fee included all the tools and materials needed for the class. The time literally flew by, and we all took our... More

We visited the Polish Art Center in Hamtramck not knowing what to expect. The store is located in two adjacent store fronts with metered parking on the street. We spent over and hour in the store, met the owner and the sales person (who were very helpful and friendly). The Polish Art Center is a wonderful collection of handmade articles... More
