First, not a normal wright house tour. If you are in the area then go but do not drive out of the way. Second, film is required and boring. Made for designers and not the normal public. Third, watch which guide you get. The male guides are great but the woman ones should be avoided. Our older heavy guided was... More

Beautiful restoration of a Frank Lloyd Wright house from more than 100 years ago. The documentary video is a must see...one of the best I have ever encountered at a historic site. And the tour guides/docents are very knowledgeable and personable. And...there is no charge. But check out which days it is open as it is open only on Sundays,... More

A tour of the Meyer May House is a wonderful experience that we enjoyed thoroughly. I'm sure it is advertised somewhere but I don't see it with other local attractions makng it quite the hidden gem. Having a Frank Lloyd Wright in your community is a novelty and everyone should at least take the tour once. If would be well... More

The Steelcase company funded what has to be one of the most outstanding renovations to a Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Attention to detail was astounding, and gave us an even better understanding of this iconic designer. Do Not Miss!

Stumbled upon the house thanks to TA -- a review of Taliesin made note of it. We checked it out on our holiday. What a wonderful find! The house has been beautifully and authentically restored. There were many visitors this morning, but despite that, we did not feel rushed or that we were in any way imposing on the kindly,... More

The 1909 Meyer May House is a golden opportunity to tour a beautifully restored Prairie Style home designed by the man considered to be America's greatest architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. And it's free, thanks to Steelcase, the largest manufacture of office furniture in the world and the homes owner. The tour begins in an adjacent house, also owned by Steelcase,... More

We visited this home and were so surprised to find it immaculately restored and maintained compliments of Steelcase. Docent was great, film a bit long. Enjoyed two hours here. Neighborhood also great to see. Ate in nearby bakery on Wealthy Street.

This place is a classic FLW house from the early 1900's, but the design was years ahead of everyone else. I would have like to have been able to go through at a much more leisurely pace. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and friendly, but moved us along at a pace a bit faster than I would have preferred.... More
