I have been in this house several times and enjoy it immensely. I love Wright's architecture and have studied it at college. I have visited his school at Taliesin West in Scottsdale Arizona. This Meyer May house is one of his finest designs and well preserved. This house is a must see for a Wright enthusiast.

Beautifully restored and it's free!! One of the best Frank Lloyd Wright houses I have toured. Rich in detail. The neighborhood has many historic homes as well.

We roadschool and the kids have been learning about Frank Lloyd Wright so this seemed like a good house to visit. The limited hours are the only negative here. We arrived midway through a Thursday opening and were greeted by the Steelcase employee manning the guest house. We watched two short videos about the home and its refuribshment, then another... We had a very interesting tour of this Frank Lloyd Wright home. We enjoyed the informational video and found the entire tour to be fascinating. Once we toured it, we were eager to go again with our relatives from out of town. Be sure to check the hours before you plan your visit.

The tour begins with an informative video about the history and restoration of the home. The docents are very knowledgeable and informative. The restoration is beautiful and impressive--especially after learning about each part of the home was researched and painstakingly restored as close to its original condition as possible. The tour is also FREE! What a bargain for the privilege... More

I am a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and try to see his work when it is in the area that I am in. I enjoyed this home and enjoyed seeing how Steelcase has put so much effort into bringing it back up to its formor glory.

Touring this house is like stepping into the past. It is so tastefully done by bringing it as close to the original that you can't help feeling that FLR may walk in anytime. This house is a real treasure to Grand Rapids.

How could I have lived in Grand Rapids most of my life and not gone to the Meyer May house. I knew so little about it that I thought "Meyer May" was two last names. My family drove all the way to Pennsylvania to see two Frank Lloyd Wright homes before we went to this one in our own back... More
