Steelcase purchased and restored this home, from the roof and overhangs to the furniture to the mural. You can view a short film on the history of the home in the house next door before taking a tour of the May house. It is Wright at his early peak as well as a window into another time.

This was an amazing and informational tour. The company that now owns this house, Steel Case, has done a wonderful job restoring and opening the doors to this gem for the public. Tours were free when we visited, and not everyday, so check ahead. Well worth seeing!

We arrived at the Meyer May House later than we expected and I was afraid that we would not have time to see all of the house. The movie had just started and the guide let us in to watch. The movie gives a great impression of how the restauration was done. After the movie we got to take the... More

If you are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan this is a wonderful house to visit. The history of the house renovation is told both by a movie prior to the tour and by knowledgeable tour guides. This house is completely and painstakingly renovated to the way it would have looked in the early 1900s. Another bonus is that the tour... More

Parking is on the street. This Frank Lloyd Wright house is located in the Heritage Hills area of Grand Rapids. Just driving through the area is a treat. Steelcase Corporation has funded the project of returning this Wright house back to its' original design after private owners made changes. Start out viewing a movie in the visitor's center next door... More

Probably the best-maintained Frank Lloyd Wright home I have ever visited. The Steelcase Foundation maintains this home and attends to every detail! Wonderful tours available!

I am a big Frank Lloyd Wright Fan and it is by far one of the best restored home of his. I visit it yearly in June every year and notice something I notice some new ever time that I hadn't seen before. Its worth the trip no matter where you are coming from.
